Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has revealed that he has an 8-year-old son named Jedidah living in London, a child he says was unplanned.
The musician made the disclosure during an interview on GHOne TV on Friday, August 28. Shatta Wale, who is already known to have three other children including Cherissa, Majesty and Leandra.
Unsure of his son's exact age, Shatta placed him between six and eight before settling on eight.
"I have a son in London. He'll be like 7 or 8," he said, adding, "like eight years ago. I didn't plan this one."
He went on to explain that the pregnancy wasn't planned with the child's mother, though he insisted he remains in touch with both her and the child.
"It was with a girl I just met one time, next thing I know she said she was pregnant. I didn't plan for it. I'm a victim," he said.
Asked whether he intends to have more children, Shatta Wale indicated he's taking a more cautious approach going forward.
"No, I don't. Now, I'm being careful with sex," he said.
