Victoria Lebene is a Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur
Actress and media personality Victoria Lebene has revealed that she deliberately chose to marry her husband despite societal expectations that she should settle down with a wealthy businessman or politician.
According to the actress, several people expected her to marry a prominent businessman or politician, but she said her experiences with some married politicians changed her perspective about the kind of relationship she wanted.
Speaking in an interview with Nikki Samonas on September 17, 2026, Victoria Lebene said some politicians who approached her were only interested in having sexual relationships with her without offering any meaningful support for her career.
“Everybody was actually thinking I should have gotten married to a businessman, like a politician and others; meanwhile, all these politicians were married. They have wives which we know and some we may not even know,” she said.
She alleged that some of these men would conceal their marital status or hide behind their public positions while approaching women for sexual relationships.
“They would hide behind all these and come and have promiscuous sessions with you. They will not offer you any good. I had so many projects online in mind, but they won’t offer you any good. All they want to do is to lie in bed with you and I wasn’t brought up that way,” she stated.
Victoria Lebene disclosed that she eventually decided to take control of her life and career rather than compromise her values in the hope of gaining financial support or opportunities.

“I thought that no, if I don’t step my foot on the ground and make a decision that would help my life and career in years to come, I will be really doomed,” she explained.
She noted that her husband was the person closest to her at the time who understood, supported, and treated her with kindness, which influenced her decision to marry him.
“Then I chose my husband because he was the closest person at the time who was very understanding, kind and supportive,” she shared.
Victoria Lebene further disclosed that she had made a personal decision not to engage in sexual relationships simply to achieve financial success or advance her career.
“When I had ditched everybody, I said I wasn’t going to do promiscuity or sleep with anyone before I make it in life. I’m not going to sleep around before I can boast of my own money. I want to work with my hands,” she stated.
The actress revealed that many people doubted her marriage and expected it to end in divorce, but she and her husband have managed to stay together despite the criticism and distractions surrounding their relationship.
“Everybody never really thought I would make it with my husband. They thought we would be divorced and that we would not make any progress with our personal lives. Look at what God has done. We’ve been able to sail through all the noise and distractions,” she added.
