  It is a painful fact of life that sooner or later everyone of us will face some sorrow, some setback,some betrayal some "mountain" and there will be noone available to support us. It is possible to be surrounded by friends and even close family yet not be in a position to share your burdens or troubles because they would not understand and worse still some will end up misunderstanding or misjudging you or even misrepresenting you!
  But all seasons of trouble will eventually end but how we come out will depend on how we conduct ourselves during our period of great trial. It is our behaviour during our period of darkness that will dtetmine whether our trial becomes a stepping stone to something bigger and better or leads us into the pit of bitterness,anger, hostility and hatred. As a matter of fact anybody who has achieved any great measure of success has had to face their Goliath and defeat him along the path. Goliath will always stand in the doorway seemingly blocking your future advancement and greatness and you will have to defeat him to advance forward. What is your Goliath today? It is therefore important to learn to encourage yourself ( not with booze,drugs or some other destructive behaviour or even burying yourself in excessive busyiness). We read in the Bible about David and how he handled one of the greatest crisis of his life
  See 1 Samuel ,chapter 30. Pay particular attention to verse 6 [ESV Bible] "And David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of every man grieved for his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
  Some Bible versions say "and David encouraged himself in the Lord".
  It was this and many other great trials that forged steel in David's soul and enabled him when he became king of Israel to lead his people so well.
  David made many serious mistakes during his lifetime but because he ultimately had a humble heart and always in the final analysis turned to God to ask for forgiveness and help God was also faithful to him and rescued him from many troubles and from many enemies.
  THE KEY IS ALWAYS TO HUMBLY TURN TO GOD AND SEEK HIM AND OBEY AND RELY ON HIM THEN WE'LL BE ABLE TO WITH HIS HELP DEFEAT EVERY GOLIATH BLOCKING OUR PATH.
