‘I am disappointed in most NDC leaders’ - Kumchacha fumes over ‘silence’ on hate speech

Prophet Kumchacha has expressed frustration over the growing trend of hate speech and insults on social media in Ghana.

Speaking on United Showbiz in a discussion shared online on September 27, 2026, Kumchacha said he is disappointed in the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for failing to address the issue.

According to him, many NDC leaders have remained passive while individuals online continue to insult President Mahama in an attempt to make him unpopular.

“I am very disappointed in most of the leaders of the NDC. My reason for saying this is because if you go on social media, it’s like some people have been contracted to insult President John Dramani Mahama.

“I don’t know if the leaders of the NDC are stingy or something, because it seems the people who speak on the radio or TV have toned down and are watching this disgusting thing happen,” he said.

Prophet Kumchacha further emphasised that members of the opposition New Patriotic Party could capitalise on this trend to weaken Mahama’s image ahead of political contests.

“They are making President Mahama’s administration unpopular with the insults. I still don’t understand why they will just keep quiet. They will stay mute unless the NPP overthrows them with this hate speech,” he added.
