The Hollywood star started his romantic relationship with his partner back in 2022
Actor Jamie Foxx recently shared his thoughts on preparing to welcome his third child at age 58. During a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!“, Foxx opened up about expecting a child with his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, and joked about diving back into early parenthood years after his first child was born.
“I got a baby on the way … still got it!” Foxx told host Jimmy Kimmel.
This newborn will mark the couple’s first child together, joining his older daughters, Corinne, 32, and Anelise, 18, born from earlier relationships.
Reflecting on returning to newborn duties, the star humorously told Kimmel that he is preparing to return to school drop-offs once again.
“I wasn’t on the fence about it, but being 58 … you know what I’m saying?” Foxx said.
Foxx reminisced about a chat with Al Pacino, who had his son Roman in 2023 at an advanced age. He humorously noted that their discussion helped him see the positives of becoming a father again later in life.
“I said, ‘Al, how old are you?’ He said, ’84,'” Foxx recalled, before joking with Pacino about being back in the school drop-off line.
When Kimmel asked if Foxx had figured out how old he would be as his child matures, the actor confirmed that he had.
“I even tell my girl, I said, ‘Look, just hang in there for 12 years. If I’m 58, 12 years I’ll be 70,'” Foxx said, joking about what life might look like by then.
Foxx also spoke about his health in the interview, almost three years after experiencing a major medical crisis. The actor explained that he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke in 2023.
“I’m feeling fantastic,’ Foxx said. ‘I went through some stuff; I didn’t know if I was gonna be back here.’
Foxx shared that the experience has given him a deeper appreciation for life.
“Sometimes my daughter says I’m too grateful, because I mean I almost died, so I’m just so thankful for everything,” he said.
The Hollywood star started his romantic relationship with Huckstepp, a former fitness model from Australia, back in 2022, the Daily Mail reported.
Although he revealed their separation in early 2025, the couple reunited shortly after to give their love another shot.
In addition to his expanding family, Foxx has revealed that he will be releasing a new stand-up comedy special, Take Care of Yourself, next month.
The special, scheduled to premiere on Hulu on October 7, is an hour-long stand-up special that promises to showcase the actor’s “most genuine, developed, and unforgettable chapter to date,” according to Complex.
