Vivian Jill Lawrence lost her sister, Mabel Ntuah, in July 2026
Actress Vivian Jill Lawrence broke down in tears as she paid an emotional tribute to her late sister, Mabel Ntuah, during her vigil.
She recalled the sacrifices her late sister made for their family and the struggles they faced while living in Accra.
Speaking at the solemn ceremony, Vivian Jill struggled to hold back her tears as she remembered how her sister worked hard to ensure that poverty did not affect their family.
She recounted the difficult times they went through in Accra, particularly in East Legon, and how Mabel encouraged them to work hard to improve their lives.
Vivian Jill said she wanted to do everything possible to honour her sister because she understood the sacrifices Mabel had made for the family over the years.
She also explained that anyone who had known Mabel, even for a short time, would understand the pain she was experiencing following her sister's death.

“At a point in time, my sister held my hand and said, ‘You know where we are coming from; we need to work hard.’ We have really suffered in Accra, especially in East Legon. My sister stood firm and made sure poverty did not come close to our family.
“I want to do whatever I can for her because I know how much she has done for this family. Even if you meet Mabel for just a day, you will understand where I am coming from and feel the pain in my heart,” she said.
The vigil was held on October 12, 2026, to honour the memory of Mayan Stitches CEO, Mabel Ntuah, ahead of her burial.
The burial is said to also take place on October 22, 2026, at the State House in Accra.
Vigil Jill has therefore appealed to friends, family members and sympathisers to attend the ceremony and join them in paying their final respects to her late sister.
Mabel Ntuah passed away in July 2026, just weeks after celebrating her 50th birthday at a lavish ceremony.
