The concert attracted thousands of fans, celebrities and musicians who gathered to celebrate the artiste, known for his strong connection with his supporters and his influence on Ghana’s music scene.

Members of the Shatta Movement turned up in white outfits, following the event’s dress code, as they sang along to his songs, danced and chanted his name throughout the night.

Several musicians also performed at the concert, including Sarkodie, Fancy Gadam, Jupitar, Kwesi Amewuga, Sista Afia, Hajia4Reall, Chief One and Patapaa, among others.

Beyond the musical performances, Shatta Wale created several moments that caught the attention of fans and sparked conversations after the event.

Here are six moments that stood out at ShattaFest 2026.

Shatta Wale kissed Queen Maali and Shuga on stage

Shatta Wale drew attention when he shared passionate kisses with Queen Maali and Shuga during his performance.

The Dancehall musician has always referred to the two women as his “wives” under his self-styled relationship philosophy, which he calls “Shattanomy”.

The moment unfolded while he was performing his hit song “California.” Queen Maali joined him on stage, pulled his jacket from behind, and kissed him passionately for several minutes.

After the moment with Maali, Shatta Wale also called Shuga and kissed her also passionately while continuing his performance.

The affectionate display became one of the talking points from the birthday concert.

ShattaFest 2026: Shatta Wale blasts government, EOCO and FBI over fraud arrests

Shatta Wale vows never to snitch on friends involved in fraud

Shatta Wale made a strong statement about his friends who are involved in fraud, declaring that he would not report them to the authorities.

He made the remarks while recalling his arrest and questioning by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over his yellow Lamborghini, which was linked to suspected proceeds of fraud.

The musician questioned why his wealth should raise suspicion, arguing that his more than 25 years in the music industry had enabled him to afford luxury vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce and a Lamborghini.

“The time they arrested me at EOCO, I just looked at Ghana and said it was a fucking country. I have been doing music for over 25 years and have bought a Rolls-Royce and a Lamborghini from my music earnings, yet someone will go and tell another person that I am into fraud.

“I have a lot of friends who are involved in fraud, but I am not a snitch, so I will not snitch on anyone. The country is not good, so if you want to engage in fraud, go ahead and do it,” Shatta Wale said.

His statement has sparked reactions, especially as Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Director-General COP Lydia Yaako Donkor was among the notable personalities present at the concert.

Nana Ama McBrown reportedly gifts Shatta Wale $50,000

Shatta Wale said he received a reported $50,000 birthday gift from actress Nana Ama McBrown, whom he affectionately described as his mother.

The musician invited McBrown onto the stage and told the crowd about the money she had brought for his birthday.

He expressed appreciation for her gesture, describing her as someone who loves him dearly.

“Today, my mother wished me a happy birthday and came along with $50,000 for me,” Shatta Wale noted.

Shatta Wale gives police officer GH¢5,000

Shatta Wale also showed appreciation to the security personnel who helped protect him by giving her GH¢5,000 during the concert.

The musician invited the officer from the crowd and explained that the gift was his way of recognising the protection and security provided by the police whenever he steps out.

He linked the gesture to his relationship with his mother, whom he identified as the CID boss, and said he wanted to show appreciation for the work of the security service.

“I am doing this in honour of my mother, the CID boss. She loves me so much, and I feel this is my way of showing appreciation for the protection you guys give me. It may not be much money, but I believe it can take us somewhere,” he said.

Shatta Wale shares message attributed to President Mahama

During his performance, Shatta Wale said President John Dramani Mahama had contacted him and asked him to convey a message to the youth, assuring them that their concerns had been heard.

The Dancehall musician also said the President had acknowledged his influence among young people and his ability to connect with the streets.

“The President of Ghana called me and asked me to tell you all that he has heard everything you want. He also said he can see that I am in control of the streets,” Shatta said.

Shatta Wale to enter politics if leaders fail Ghana

Shatta Wale also expressed dissatisfaction with Ghana’s political leadership, warning that he would enter politics if Ghana’s leaders fail to bring the changes he wants to see.

The musician told politicians that he was prepared to obtain nomination forms and contest elections if they did not improve the country’s situation.

His remarks suggested that he was willing to move beyond music and pursue a political career if he believed it was necessary to bring change.

“I am telling every politician in Ghana that if they fail to change the country, I will pick up a nomination form, and we will all contest elections.”

ShattaFest 2026 was a night filled with musical performances, personal displays of affection, cash gifts and outspoken comments from the birthday celebrant.
