‘I could have poisoned Oteele if he had shown no remorse after leaked intimate video’ – Wife

Gifty Nana Afriyie, the wife of Kumawood actor Oteele, has revealed that although she has forgiven her husband following the leak of his intimate video with another woman, she might not have been able to forgive him if he had shown no remorse for his actions.

In an interview with Nayaas, Gifty admitted that forgiving her husband was not an easy task.

According to her, if she had continued living with her husband for some time after the incident and he had shown no remorse for his actions, she could have poisoned him to death.

Gifty noted that if Oteele had decided to marry a second wife, particularly the woman featured in the intimate video with him, she believes his obituary posters would have been everywhere by now because she would have killed him.

“It was not easy to wake up one day and decide to forgive him. If I had continued living with him for some time after the incident and he had shown no remorse for his actions, I could have poisoned him. I would have killed him simply,” she said.

She further explained that she had suffered greatly throughout the decades of their marriage and had also cared for her husband when he was sick.

Considering everything they had been through together, she said she would have found it difficult to accept a situation in which, after things had started getting better, Oteele decided to marry the woman in the video.

Gifty explained that she would have felt deeply hurt if she had been forced to return to her family home with nothing to show for the years she had invested in the marriage.

She said, under such circumstances, she wouldn’t have hesitated to kill Oteele.

Breaking his silence earlier on the incident, during a TikTok Live session, Oteele admitted that he had “messed up”.

He expressed shame over his actions, acknowledged that he had failed his family and apologised for the incident.
