Florence Obinim and her estranged husband, Bishop Obinim
Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has intensified his public attacks on his ex-wife, Florence, insisting he will continue labelling her “mad.”
He said he is prepared to defend that statement before a judge if their ongoing marital issue ends up in court.
Speaking during a church service, Obinim said he is unafraid of any legal action and would explain to the court why he believes Florence deserves the description.
“I said Florence is mad; I will never stop saying it. I will tell the judge to ask her if she’s okay because if she were, she wouldn’t do certain things,” he stated.

Obinim added that he is ready to justify his comments before a judge.
“I want to go to court and explain that the woman is mad. I will explain in court. When I am in front of the judge, I will tell him, ‘My Lord, this is why I say this woman is mad,’” he said.
According to him, his frustration stems from Florence’s alleged failure to defend their son, Gifted Obinim, after rumours surfaced on social media accusing him of being gay.
He claimed that despite someone allegedly spreading claims that he had a sexual relationship with his own son, Florence remained silent and failed to condemn the allegations.
“That is my child, my next of kin. A child that preaches, prophesies and does miraculous things. Someone went on social media to claim I had been sleeping with my son as my gay partner, yet you couldn’t come out to defend your husband or your son,” he alleged.
Obinim further lambasted Florence for allowing people around her to continue spreading such claims, arguing that the rumours are damaging their children’s reputation.
“You haven’t stopped her from spreading that rumour till today. You’re now destroying the children’s lives… If someone calls your son gay, is it not your own people who spread the rumour?” he questioned.
He also alleged that Florence has conspired with others to insult him and is now allowing attacks to be directed at their own children.
The outspoken preacher maintained that he would continue making the remarks about his ex-wife until she is “free from her madness.”
