Rev Opambour backs Mensa Otabil's 'most prophets are fake' comment

Prophet Opambour has weighed in on the ongoing discussion within the Christian community following Pastor Mensa Otabil’s recent remarks, in which he described some prophets as crooked.

Reacting to Pastor Mensa Otabil’s statement, Prophet Opambour, in a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb, threw his support behind the leader of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC).

According to Opambour, Ghanaians, including senior pastors who are attacking Mensa Otabil, should refrain from doing so.

He explained that most prophets heading mega churches in the country are indeed fake.

“Most pastors in the country are fake. In every profession, we have fake people. Even in Islam, we have fake Mallams, so I don’t have anything against Mensa Otabil’s message,” he said.

Prophet Opambour further issued a word of caution to pastors who are not genuinely called by God.

According to him, such fake individuals should take Mensa Otabil’s message seriously and repent, while pastors who are genuinely called by God should focus on their work.

“If you know you are a fake man of God, repent. And if you are a true man of God, focus on your calling and work. There is no need to insult Mensa Otabil,” he added.
