Rev. Obofuor weighs in on Carter Efe’s disrespect towards Stonebwoy
Rev. Obofour has condemned Nigerian streamer Carter Efe over his controversial remarks about Stonebwoy, arguing that he should have been compelled to apologise to the BHIM Nation boss before being allowed to leave the country.
Speaking during a live stream, the outspoken preacher said it was wrong for some Ghanaians to celebrate or make light of Carter Efe’s comments, stressing that Stonebwoy is a respected brand whose image should be protected.
“And someone would be happy and commenting about it. A stranger has been able to enter the country to disrespect Stonebwoy. Stonebwoy is not just anyone. When he got to the airport on his way out of the country, he should have been asked to return and apologise to Stonebwoy,” Obofour said.
He questioned why such disrespect is being tolerated simply because it was directed at Stonebwoy, saying, “Because it is Stonebwoy, he should be disgraced and disrespected? How?”
Obofour further stated that attempts by critics to embarrass him often have the opposite effect.
“So I am telling you today, anyone who is trying to say something about me in hopes of embarrassing me, it’s a blessing to me. It makes me numbers; it sets the platform for me to blow,” he added.
His comments come after Carter Efe sparked widespread backlash during a visit to Ghana when he made remarks many fans considered disrespectful towards Stonebwoy, including referring to the musician with a derogatory slur while comparing him to Shatta Wale.
The comments have since drawn criticism from several public figures and fans across Ghana and Nigeria

Obofour said on his live stream that if Ghana were a serious country, the law could have made Carter Efe apologise to Stonebwoy before he even left Ghana.
Obofour also stated we shouldn’t be happy that he has disrespected Stonebwoy because Stonebwoy is a big brand in Ghana
