If the suspect reported himself to the CID on 18 January at 10 a.m. and is alleged to have left the country at 4.36 p.m. on January 18 then it stands to reason that he did not beat immigration officials. He was free to travel after reporting himself. If the CID deemed it fit to remand him in custody, they wouldn't have let him go. But how could someone who was arrested and placed in custody, have travelled on the same day in the afternoon?

I thought I read that "Agya Koo reported himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service at 10 a.m. Friday, January 18, 20I3". Then I go further and read that according to the Immigration Service they received a warrant for his arrest at 5.30 p.m. that same day, the 18th. And at the end of it all, Agya Koo is supposed to have left KIA at 4.36 p.m. on this same 18th.

This clearly shows how we do our work in Ghana. No side of the state knows what the other side is talking about.
