Apart fdrom the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General's office, no other Ministry necessarily goes to a person of the proffession. That is, the Minister of Justice and Attorney must be a lawyer. Ministers are political appointtees to oversee the implementation of government policies. He doesn't need to be a technocrat or professional but it ould be advisable, especially for an area like the creative arts to have someone with at least the interest for it because of the attittude of many Ghanains to this area. In facy most Ghanaians don't respect creativity in every sense of it, be it in science, arts or divinity. We must however recognize that the Ministry is not only of creative arts. There is also Tourism and culture to contend with. minister could come from any of the three areas. We only pray that whoever it is is not a Lawyer, doctor or engineer. However I thought that Rashid was okay and I'm disappointed that he has been taken off or 'reshuffled' even before he was vetted. He is someone we could hve easily worked with. Never herd of Well, let's see. If she is good, it'sw for our good. I am not in the habit of judging people before I get to know thatm and what they stand for.
