sound engineers make azonto a hit. but with rap and RnB, THE ARTITE has to be creative cus some the beats are even one way but their rap and songs makes it better. go listen to a raw rap beat and Rnb beat and compare to the cheap azonto shit around. u will realize azonto can even be sung by a kG boy. thats why we must let the small boys do azonto and the bigger boys try something mor of international standard. look at 9Ja. azonto is for kids.

It looks like you are not a musician and you don’t have the true picture of the music industry! To get a hit is a team event involving the composers, arrangers, instrumentalists, Singers, technicians or engineers, producers, graphic artist, designers, marketing agents, sales profession etc. Very few composers (note: not all composers are musicians).
The “beats” are not the work of sound engineers it’s the responsibility of instrumentalists or musicians or the composers or the producers even though anyone in the team can come out with suggestions during the recording. The primary work of the sound engineers (accurately technicians) is to get the right levels of each component in the mix of the sound production.
Please bear in mind, at the end of the day the composer can refuse any suggestions and dictate the components and will even tell the sound engineer what he/she wants. That’s why in the US royalties goes to primarily the composers and not even the singers or musicians, since you need the permission of the composer to add or alter his composition. Composition is not all the tune or the lyrics it includes the “beats” as well. Most musicians in the US have their compositions fully done and do not require any beats from any sound engineer!

No one dj can make a song popular but the role of radio and club dj's is an integral one and should be appreciated and respected and never rejected!
