I pity struggling artists in Africa because they have a long way to go.

Sonnie Badu and those of you agreeing with him are all illitrates. You guys should simply check how the event was patronised, the number of people who were sent away b'cos the auditorium was full, those who hanged around the compound of the theatre till the event was over and tell us if Sonnie Badu can pull that crowd. It's a simple thing, the crowd you pull determines how much your show is worth in the entertainment business. Sonnie should shun jealousy and bid his time. If there's any local artiste who's doing very good in music, he'll also pull crowd and make more than what Chris Brown made here in that concert. Entertainers are in levels. What Chris Brown made can not be compared to what Nicki Minaje will make if she shows up in Ghana. It's a fact, we have to embrace it and work harder. Back in the days, I'll prefere to pay much, jump whatever school wall just to watch Classic Handlers while I won't even read the story just after seeing the headline talking about "Wantu Wanzuri". Chris Brown took away $1,000,000.00, yet the organizers made profit. That's what I'm talking about. It's entertainment but some entertainers are worth a stadium size auditorium and some "Abrantie spot". Some can afford KKD while some can only afford Super O.D. If Sonnie can't stand the heat, he should leave the kitchen.

IF the promoters paid $1million, the market dictates and based on the price people paid for the general admission. The people should have boycotted the show, but they didnt. YOu cannot blame the promoters but the market generators which is the people of Ghana.

It's quiet outrageously disgusting, abuse of African cultural respect and human dignity that an organization in Africa, and in Ghana for that matter, a country which use to be the proud loud mouth of Africa political emancipation will pay that huge sum of money just to promote foreign culture when we struggle here for ordinaries like drinking water.

Sonnie Badu, thank you for speaking of your mind on this despicable issue which you rightly said is another from of mental slavery and just stupid for that organization to do that. What they achieved from that stupid show of criminal wealth is only best to them and their criminal associates in power of governance.

The Mahama led government has turned our country into a safe havens of criminals where cocaine monies and all ill "woyome" gotten monies are displayed with impunity whilst the entire nation suffers from acute electric cuts, bad roads, maternity deaths, hospitals turned to death transit camps youth walking aimlessly hopeless for their future, graduates unemployment and huge chaotic security mess with armed robbers parading the streets of Ghana on red carpets.

Chris Brown a violent lawless woman beater, invitation to the country was yet another national shame and hugely embarrassment.

The great Yaa Asantewas, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumahs, Kwame Adjimas, Kwesi Agreys, Sgt Adjeteys and all our ancestors who laid down their lives with their blood for our freedoms will pathetically be spinning in their graves.

It is the same with music manufactured in America. Sonnie has a point, but the argument is bigger than music and is bigger than artist, u are dealing with musicians from very developed countries with a better produced product, (I'm speaking in generalities now) as compared with alot of the "stuff" which our musicians put out, especially our gospel musicians, and u realise that maebe those who earning the millions are in the position to demand the millions, the market forces of demand and supply are still at work and that is the reason behind the gross disparity. So as we wake up, let us conssider the whole picture and not be narrow minded about what is really going on here. When they come to Ghana and they see how the place stinks, why should they stay, if the place is better looking or decent looking, they might stay. Don't blame them, fix your house.
