The candid advice is to do business in a business way and avoid hiccups/surprises/interruptions using paid mentors and body-guards if necessary as you're in a self-promotion and enticing trade of 'tigers' and 'wolves' like a jungle where everyone is looking for your fresh or meat to feed on.

My dear, it is not only the music industry which is suffering from such primitive and corrupted deeds but virtually all aspects of Ghanaian endeavours. Managers do it to either employ or promote people; Lecturers do it to pass and grant university degrees and diplomas at the polytecnics; politicians are deeply involved to various positions. It is sad that women are not emerging purely due to their God-given talents and capabilities in Ghana. How do we prosper and develop as a nation? Authorities must empower women to expose such moves and punish people to enable women play their proper roles in the development of our society.

The practice is worldwide.Difference is. it's not easy in the advance countries for a politician or someone who holds public office to do that plainly.U can loose your job or position within 24hrs when you indulge in chasing women.
But in part of Africa,rather politics and public office opens the way wider for you to chasing women. Those are some of the reason politicians and public office holders in some parts of Africa,steal,diverts and loot govt coffers.Because it cost you money to chase women and chasing women is capital intensive .
