  I will agree and disaggregate with you on this one , the point ins we don't have the basic structure for our enetrtainment industry hence we will fail if we don't put proper sutures in place.

  Ghanaian music is fine but if you want to put them it styles, you can count not more than 5. Every music sounds like the other, just changing the lyrics and somebody calls himself a composer. Well known tunes from my childhood days are coming back back with different artistes claiming to be their composers. Original composers are very very few and the beats are one-way. In almost all the styles, the bass is a "d f s d' cycle and nothing more. So if a foreigner,listening to Ghanaian music for its music, but not its message (the lyrics), it is entirely monotonous.

  The problem is that we have lost who we are. Back in the days were ghanaians. Today, we are a bit Americans, somewhat British and figure the rest out yourself nation. C k man, ben brako, nana tuffour, adomako nyamekye, papa yankson, just to name a few, were all great ghanaian musicians in a unique way. That was Ghana music. The music in Ghana now nothing but jamma for inter -college and a bit of French Africans shake your ass dance. So before you wonder why we are losing out, lets start by finding out identity and the way home first.
