Looks like they're all from the same village family. Please it is supposed to be a beauty contest. These girls are ugly. Worst of all their Chinese hair add-ons are ridiculously huger than their faces and heads.

They should all advocate to stop cutting the hair of our young girls at school age. It is a sin, it is child abuse and inhumane to a certain degree. These girls have no self esteem from early ages. They look like boys, if not worse physically. Aside from being malnourished, why should they be humiliated.

In Ghana today, 100% of all females slap some sort of artificial hair onto their heads. They have gone beyond the reasonable use of the accessory. Ladies please champion this, and I will give you all a "PASS".

Debbie, I fell your pain too. Personally I have nothing against these girls, but they should have known that this is supposed to be a BEAUTY CONTEST, and yes, you have to be smart, knowledgeable and talented in some things. Ghana has many such qualified girls, but the way we either bribe our way through life, or use nepotism, tribalism when we have the power to judge, so shall we wind up with such mediocre contestants. Then you and many others think one has to be kind and sympathetic to them? There are many ugly women and girls in the countries that won the competition, they know their place in life. In Ghana, you watch people and you almost want to throw up. Everybody thinks they are IT, and by God, if there ever was a curse for ugly, dirty, filthy, ignorant, uncouth people, you can bet you will find 7 out of 10 anywhere in Ghana.

I stand by my words, and you can beg for sympathy you won't get it from me.

To go beyond this. I walk the streets and beaches of Accra every day, and I can assure you that besides the fake hair accessories that have become a permanent part of a Ghanaian girls life, horrible skin is even more telling. every girl has multiple dark spots on their faces, legs and even arms. Either from mosquito and insect bites, bad nutrition, cutlass marks or whatever I do not know, why people never protect their baby girls. Child labor, female abuse in every family, lack of role models in every home, is our folly. I am a true champion of GIRLS/WOMENS RIGHTS - I have been crying foul all my life in support of women, but I do not compromise my principles based on facts of life. There is beauty of mind and soul, and there is BEAUTY IN PHYSICAL APPREARANCE !!! and a CONTEST is an impartial competition.
