Judging a woman's worth based on looks is plain ignorant. When a woman suspends school and takes all the time in the world to look like a Barbie, then I suggest therapy for that woman. Look at that dolled up human being; totally unrealistic.

Walking on a stage half naked and getting scores based on bodies is sickening to any decent person. This doesn't even require an explanation. It's obviously stupid. COME ON!!

May be you have no clue but there's exploitation in every aspect of life be you a woman or a man. You go to school and study so much for a degree etc etc. At the end of the day, you'll prepare a resume, go meet a panel and tell them why you're the right person for the job. In some cases you do some practical to prove a point and at the end of it all somebody will tell you how much he's going to pay you. What do you see at the beach today, girls in bikini. They're not being exploited by anyone you might think but for some reason it is believed the appropriate outfit for a woman at the beach swimming is bikini. Your type of woman will swim in long jeans pants, kaba and charliewote. Keep covering up from head to toe and think that's decency. A pretender will marry you and still be looking out there for my type of woman. You just take your cap and leave my sweater for we have nothing to weather but I know for sure you'll one day think of me.

Perhaps if they give full account of their achievements (besides wearing an 'expirable' crown), we can justify the stupidity of the nudity. Is 'beauty pageant' the only way to contribute to the society?! The answer is a big NO! In addition to that, why must a girl look skinny/Barbie-ish in order to contribute to the society? Sounds stupid to me! You have no point ma'am. In the world of beauty pageants, everyone is a loser except those who run the show. Count the number of beauty queens we have in Africa right now; starting from just 2000. They must be picking the wrong projects because Africa's problems are multiplying rapidly. We all saw their nice projects, but the truth is that recognizing a problem is way easier than solving it. The women who made and are making changes in the societies didn't compete in pageants. Let's consider Nana Konadu, Miriam Makeba, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton, Michelle, and the rest. What pageant did they win. Actually winning a pageant makes them more useless to the society as they only care about their appearances! what is the name of that useless past queen who is a minister? Her name kinda rhymes with "take me now".

You are a disgrace to womanhood. Supporting vanity is pure insanity. The truth is that, the real beauties don't go for such nonsensical things. Little 'medical' brains like Naa does. 35 years in her career, she still won't be able to find a solution to her project because by that time, a serious medical student in America (who didn't waste time on stupid pageants) would have found a solution. The Ghanaian doctors who were serious and spent every second of the seven years studying are killing people like guinea fowl, how much more foolishtards who suspended their study to chase useless crowns and probably spend another year working with faketards on how to win a crown.

The criteria for a beauty queen is suppose to be slim, tall, well shaped and what have you. The fact that you can't stand that shouldn't mean it's bad. There are women in the slim something something who are better parents etc than many of your kind. I'm married to a pretty one like that and I always bless the day I found her. My kids are looking prettier, very smart academically etc etc. You don't expect Nana Konadu to fall in that category do you? The fact that she's brightening the coner where she is doesn't make her a better person. The days of Miriam Makeba and Eleanor Roosevelt are past. Put on board the old pictures of Mitchell & Nana Konadu and you'll see big changes in their outfits and the manner they present themselves lately. These are women you wouldn't have even known if their husbands hadn't been in the lime light. Check what Menaye aka Mrs Muntari is doing to help society even years after being Miss Universe, follow after Ekuba Kudjo, Dzorgbenuku, they all are still contributing in their small ways. None of them walked nude any where, they wore bikini which is an acceptable costume all over the world. Have you considered female athletes and what they wear? Don't be one sided, look wide. There had been in most cases where the women you're disregarding turn out better in life than those you regard. Life is what you make it not wearing bikini or not. Some of you come here and talk blah blah but heaven only knows what you do behind close doors. Wilder than prostitutes but you'll step out there pretending to be angels. Who are you deceiving? You claim you hate pageantry but you watch it all the time. As if that's not enough, you come here also to read about it so what sense does it make to criticize it? They parade these women like fishes on seashore in front of a bunch of not-so-good-looking judges who judge based on their standards of how a woman should look like and you call that reality? How does the average woman look like? I would like to see a pageant with real beauty, where black women don't wear three inches indian hair, no make up, with regular clothes, average weight, and women and young girls who do it for an actual cause and not for fame. It's pathetic to see fake women who use make up, nose job, fake hair, and even surgery to cover up their true colora. If you know we will never agree, why attack in the first place? The likes of you are the real deceivers; deceiving women that they have to look anorexic in order to be called beautiful. The only person who is not looking wide is you.
