I've been abroad for some time now, educated with three university degrees, BUT I STILL LIKE TO BUY AND WATCH THE AKAN MOVIES alongside the English speaking movies.

Damn it, folks: What percentage of Ghanaians that can't speak, read or write English properly? Quite significantly so why complain about people buying and watching Akan movies? My only problems with the Kumasi-based Akan movies are the OPTICS: Scenes of bad houses & locations, bad eating practices, primitive and old time stools/chairs, general housing & rooming inadequacies, etc., make it hard for me to show them to my American friends. That will certainly confirm their negative opinions about Africa and Africans. Bedsides that, I'm cool with them.

My favorite Akan language movie actors are Agya Koo, Agya Koo’s too short boys, Katawere, the neck-bone pastors, Lilwin, Akwasi Boadi and a few others whose names I can't remember now. However, maybe some producer can explain to us why Katawere was selected to play the role of "American Burger"—where he couldn’t show a damn shiggidy of American life and shenanigans. Just keep him away from those high profile roles and let him star in his proverb-rich Akan movies.

For the actresses, you bet; Nana Ama McBrown, Mercy Asiedu (Alomo Gyata), Kyeiwaa, Naana Hayford (who also acts in English), etc. I even keep a computer file for all the "good Akan proverbs" that I can capture while watching those Akan movies. Remember, Negro: We weren't born with English tongue in our mouths, but our local dialects’ tongue, so let's keep our Akan language alive and be proud of it.

The sad truth is that no Twi speaking Akan intellectual has ever come up with an intelligent argument to support their desire to force Twi on all Ghanaians. Twi is like a disease, it can be easily and rapidly transmitted (no matter how much you hate it).

With your twisted mentality and logic, should we not just allow the status quo to prevail? Majority of Ghanaians speak, write, understand and function in English. Even those who are too stupid to want to speak it, or by default cannot be educated in it, use it inadvertently every single day of their life's.

This is so futile, we have been having this argument for well over 15 years, nothing has changed and nothing will change. Everybody speaks their native languages fluently and try to accommodate the dumb Twi speakers, who I know are advised by their parents and chiefs never to absolve or tolerate any other language and culture. Twi is not sweeter, more romantic or more intelligent than Ewe, Ga, Nzema or Dagomba.

First and foremost, majority of Ghanaians are low class, semi-intelligent, born in rural areas and have a high inferiority complex.

What makes their plight morbid is that, they tend to make believe that their state of mind and being is as good as the most polished, most civilized and most advanced counterparts. So in numbers, they make enough noise to frustrate the "Good Progressive Ghanaian".

Do beggars have choices? Twi-language movies from Ghana will never outdo English speaking Ghanaian movies. I don't even understand why we just can't allow diversity to flourish side by side in Ghana and leave people to enjoy their personal life's. All these freaking hypocrites, who envy the polished Ghanaian and call them slaves and uncle toms, would have never survived life if they don't pick and chose western lifestyles and cultures they secretly practice at home.

If you so adamant about English subtitle Ghanaian movies, you just simply stay out in Kumasi and make sure you shoot all your movies in the woods, with no cars not western houses, even the damn camera you use to shoot the movies, get rid of all those things before you come up with your ignorant and useless competitive edge.

These same people who talk about local stuff, will be the first to condemn a Hausa Movie Market, a Ga Movie Market or Ewe Movie Market. Don't believe the hype, they are all tribalists and haters who fight a futile battle only by numbers. Twi is common only because there have a high population and they are also very nomadic. So were the British. Why do they think that every Ghanaian should enjoy Twi movies, but they don't want to appreciate English or other local Ghanaian movies or languages.

And please stop talking about Germans, Chinese, French and Russians. All these people enjoy English movies more than their local movies secretly. English is a universal language across the globe, only pretenders act as though they have something equally potent.

We have nothing to brag about...Mathematics, Medicine, Biology, Astronomy, Engineering, you name it none of our stupid mumbo-jumbo languages were able to tread upon these high human intelligent mediums. That is the quality of a civilized human living in a unique multi-cultural society. I told you once before, you nomadic Twi speaking citizens cannot find much comfort in your territories and within your very primitive cultures, so you migrate and then form enclaves to usurp the beauty, authority and unity of your hosts. You do that in England, America, China and even in Accra, Ghana.

Listen most of the false popularity of Twi is forced and financially promoted by Akan governments. Yes most of these foreigners asy stuff like Akwabaa, because you have craftily erected a marquis at the Airport that reads in 3 feet letters AKWABAA, then in Accra every freaking business is named Akwanaa Chop Bar, Akwabaa Tro-tro, Akwabaa Seamstress, Akwabaa Travel Agency, Akwabaa Insurance. Twi is no match for any English or most other languages. You can force it all you want, it will backfire. Not even Chinese or German is that popular around the world. Look at Ghana TV and Radio today and tell me you are proud of the quality and intelligence you observe.

Just because I am Ghanaian and can speak Latin, English, French, German and Russian almost perfectly, does not imply I have abandoned or cannot communicate equally well in my native Ghanaian language. FOOLS PARADISE!!!
