If gospel artist are claiming their music is just to spread the word of God , why should they sell their cd's?
Wont Joyce Blessing sell her cd?What annoys me is why she should take that small hook of the song for Joyful Way to act as if she copy right the total track.
Joyce has nice songs on her album such as "MUNKO MOAKYE" and "Heavy Price".I am not a lover of gospel music but Joyce songs such as 'Monko Mo'akye and Heavy Price have been my favorite tracks for the past four months.
So why should she take the hook of Joyful Way "WOAHENE DI" and fuse it with her track "nyame aguama is what baffles me.
Moreover she featured JEWEL ARKAH on that track.All the wonderful melody that Jewel Arkah sang on that track is now useless because of the small portion of JOYFUL WAY hook. Her management need to be lashed big time.
Currently the purchase of cd's in Ghana is very low and musicians even find it difficult to break even their cost.So for them to allow this elementary error to elude them money is very stupid so far as i am concern.
Joyful Ways will sue them if they refuse to co-operate and i am sure it is going to cost them a fortune.
What is the essence is composing nine beautiful tracks but add a track which you composed yourself featured renowned musician like Jewel Arkah and add a hook of someones music for you to pay money to the fellow because of copy right.

With all due respect, why do pastors own copyright on the books they write? didn't Joyful Way spend time and money to bring their creative work to the masses? if you develop a product, do you want me to freely replicate and sell it simply because you used raw materials that God created for everyone at no charge - even though you did the hard work to figure out how to fully utilize its potential? A lawsuit is appropriate if other non-legal approaches fail, which I'm fairly sure is the case. Copyright laws protect all, including creative work in the church.

Music is an inspirational thing that develops from the heart be it secular or spiritual. About 95 percent of the times, the songs we claimed were given by the spirit of God comes only in a chorous form. The singer or musician later sits and develop a body known as the verse to make the song complete. Therefore who are we lying to? Let's stop spiritualizing everything and be real. "Wáhenni" is a well written song by Joyful way Inc. Josephine and co sat to put this master piece together. Even at the recording studio, some few alterations here and there were done before the song became complete. Somebody who has not toiled but come to pick it up and starts making money with it and what are you guys saying? Joyful way initially notified the said thief. She and her lawyers should have come clean and settle it amicably. Pat Thomas sued Tic Tac for pirating his song. Tic Tac immediately droped a cool 12 mil and the case was closed. It's all about money, let's stop this God gave nonsense and be real. They have settle Joyful way.

Your gift should bring you blessing, and if you're a gifted songwriter, why should someone else just abuse your IP simply because they're also gospel artistes? Isn't the alleged offender also trying to get monetary reward for her songs? Until we start honoring these rules, we won't reach our full potential in developing original innovations, in science, business, music, etc.

Almost all of them don't understand what they do. To them, it is about popularity and some fake celebrity status in Ghana.
Someone comes to them and say hey- you have a nice voice so let's make gospel songs and sell and they immediately jump and scream- yeah, yeah...yeah. It does not really matter if they have to open their legs to start this "business." So they get up, get a fake horse hair for their long wigs. Put a face make-up with nail extensions and artificial eye-lashes and grease their lips with red lipstick ( I wanna puke when I see those on black ladies). Couple that with fake dress and high heel shoe from China or Dubai then BAMN, she becomes a gospel singer.
So do you see why it is difficult for them to understand morality issues. If Christians and their singers are finding it hard to understand moral issues, what do think about the citizenry? And why do they even want to "MINISTER" to people when they themselves have no moral compass to do that? Was it not Jesus who told the Christians to be the SALT of this world. Now, it is rather the world that are trying to become the SALT and forcing Christians to abide by it.

It's strange to note that in these end times all sorts of quarrels are popping up in the Kingdom of Christ while some so-called pastors are openly insulting callers on live programs on airwaves etc. It's a big disgrace and I believe this case should even make the headlines. Whoever is behind this litigation should quickly think twice and urge their clients to withdraw. Such people are fake and not part of the flock of Jesus.
I happened to Joyce's duet with Jewell Ackah and I'm amazed by the voice and creativity of the lady; she's a real talent who should be given all the support. She's got frightening talent by my observation. He other title "What a God we serve" is another amazing piece.
Let all true believers of Christ and anyone who's truly delivered say so! In the Kingdom of Chrise there's no pretense; our Lord Jesus is real and let his followers abide by his word. Amen!
