In Ghana, we take every venture, run it down, and fail to improve due to mediocrity. What training do all those claiming to be movie producers have? they will all run into production, and in no time, it will not be competitive enough, and it will become another industry that will not have risen to its expected heights. I wonder if there are any regulations in that industry.

IT TAKES MORE TIME THAN THAT. IF I WAS INVOLVED IN THE MOVIE BUSINESS IN GH. I WILL MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE HOLLYWOOD FORMAT. I WILL SHOW MY MOVIES IN THEATRES ALL OVER THE NATION, EVEN NAIJA AND OTHER ENGLISH SPEAKING NATIONS IN AFRICA BEFORE PUTTING THEM OUT ON DVD FOR SALE. JUST TAKE A CLUE FROM TYLER PERRY.

No one is too big for the classroom. Education has no age limit. Some of these stars can improve on their knowledge in our Universities or somewhere. I don't think there's anything wrong with actors/actresses who are directors of movies they are also actors or actresses. A classic example is the American movie director, Quentin Tarantino who also feature in his movies, eg. "Django Unchained".
There are English Departments in most Universities in Ghana that can collaborate with the writing of scripts. I believe very soon an African movie will win an Oscar at least at the foreign film category.

Its pathetic that the movie makers in Ghana as we speak don't even have regulating industry after the disappearance of Ghana Film Industry Corperation-GFIC instituted by Dr. Nkrumah in early 1957
