  I find this very interesting trend. Because as a young Ghanaian from America, I see a lot of young Ghanaians who are born and/or raised in the Western world, try and keep the Ghanaian culture alive; with clothing lines, eating foods, listening and making music. Now keep in mind, many of us where born and/or raised outside of Ghana, some of us have never been home (yet), don't speak any of the language (most of the time the fault of our parent (s), and since many of us are mixed we do have other cultral and ethnic blends to contend with. But to hear that in Ghana, the trend of keeping the Ghanaian culture alive is dying, is shocking, because its the opposite out side of Ghana. I must look into this more.

However, the trend in Ghanaian is the opposite. some of my nephews and nieces in Ghana do not speak any of the Ghanaian languages and the surprising thing to me is their parents are ok with it and they prefer their children speak English at home than a Ghanaian language.

  Why don't we package our good cultures and make others appreciate them to generate funds through tourism. And by that I need a new approach.......and ban all the negative cultures we import on to our shores. We even import toxic waste, believing we need them, to get us out of poverty????
