Our today's gospel song writers, film writers and their producers first aim is to commercialize their products to make profit without thinking of the negative effect on the people.
Certainly,commercializing gospel does not go to exalt the name of the Almighty.

Gospel Music has different wings or branches so it depends on which of the Branches you want to hang on when composing your lyrics, in other words it depends on the Area of Gospel Music God Inspires the Composer to hang on when writing his or her music. Gospel Music comprise of Hymns, Allegro, Sentimental, Negro Spirituals, Praise, Worship, Spiritual Anthems, Carols, Coral Music, just to mention few. Let me be explicit here, Sony Badu, are you aware that "HYMNS" comprise of dirges, and you are also aware Negro Spiritual comprise of dirges? Sony Badu it is unfortunate that you don't know that Music is the Food God eats and he has varieties hence he inspires individuals on a particular music food that would glorify him so it would be absurd for one to determine what type of Gospel should be song or not. Don't be surprised to know that the Dirges Gospel songs you are condemning could be the very music that steers up the compassion of God for the worshipper who is down trodden, dejected who has no power to redeem him/herself and depends on Gods mercy for his/her life to be salvaged from the dungeons of hell; you can't stop that person from expressing himself or herself.
