Sounds to me that Ambolley is just jealous of what our younger generation musicians are doing.When Obour assumed the Presidency I was one of the doubters who felt he got in for the wrong reason.He has since pleasantly surprised everyone with his professionalism,open door policy, transparency, foresight and humility.Even his opponents have publicly admitted that he has done and continue to do a very fine job.For Ambolley to lay false charges on Obour shows how low he has sunk. If I were him I would retract these ridiculous comments and make amends with the boy privately if he want to retain any of his dignity.

A thread once came with complaints about current MUSIGA adm performance to which I put in some comments, but suddenly the thread vanished from ghanaweb. Whether it was intentionally removed, only the webmaster can tell.

As at now, common membership card is taking over 6 months to produce. Not even a phone call is placed to members about when to collect and what is happening.

I am sure Obour and his group are having difficulties with administration and strategic direction.

I am now of the view that MUSOGA president should not necessarily be a musician, but one who understands the music industry with strategy to sell Ghanaian music nationally and internationally. That notion must change. Get a business minded fellow equiped with administrative knowledge.

The era of try and error must seize now!

I agree with the point that we should get some professional help for marketing, insurance schemes etc but the presidency should dwell strictly with musicians who understand the needs, frustrations and ambitions of other music ...

Mr.Aponkye,your obvious hostility toward the youth tells me a lot about your station in life.Correct me if I am wrong but you are one of those so called burgers who have spent the better part of his life in a foreign country doing menial jobs even a slave will reject if given a choice.You spent your youth acting big and above but couldn't achieve anything in life over there or in Ghana.The little babies and kids that were here when you left are all grown with better education, jobs and business prospect than you.They don't accept you over there yet you can never come back home because you don't have any thing here in Ghana and you are too old to start all over.So what do you do? You get envious when you see the young men and women doing it big in Ghana. And like Ambolley you complain, insult and do your best to tarnish what the youth have accomplished here which is is more than you can achieve in three life times. You sit in your cramped apartment after each day's slavery, get inebriated and talk from the bottle because that is your only companion while you wait for death.If you are lucky they will discover your death early and collect contribution from acquaintances to ship your body back to Ghana, otherwise your body will be turned over to medical student to be practiced on like they have done with many like you.If I were you I would be on my knees seeking redemption rather than spending your days hating the up and coming.

For starters, name some of the menial jobs unfit for slaves and counteract them with the non menial jobs flowing in abundance in your sojourns. Support your selections with corresponding wages and salaries as paid to BURGERS and your elite scholars in Ghana. If you are lucky enough to be drowning in WOYOMEGATE style cash windfalls, please count yourself lucky.
For without such luck, your earnings, access to social and medical benefits would in no way come close to that of a 'mere' BURGER on public benefits. What makes you think that a burger could not have stayed back and enjoy whatever you pride yourself of in Ghana if, by comparison, he found the Ghana option better? Maybe a Burger is one with conscience, choosing to survive on menial SLAVE jobs rather than stealing from the poor Ghanaian coffers.
