Wale as a poor boy ventured into rap music until fortune smiled on him and now one of American sought after top ranked rapper.

The name Wale is a short form of "Omowale" in Yoruba language meaning "My child is back home" which is mostly given to children of Yoruba descents born abroad; hense the short form in order to make it easier to pronounce by non Yorubas as well.

Now, the question is; Shatta has made so much noise about Shatta Wale movements and has even dared anyone to challenge the authenticity of the movement and boasts of the originality of the movement as well.

So if you a dancehall artist(bandana) calls a fellow dancehall artist(samini) a jama artist and for him to claim he's a dancehall KING in his hit song ever, comes with a jama-like tune or azonto flavour then i dont see him tobe even a PRINCE much more tobe an OKYIAME of dancehall ooo. Hmmmm funs learn oo cos if samini does jama and has been able to take our own jama thing from GHANA to the world and to the extend of being nominated for BOBO awards then i think samini is boonoonoonous(wonderful)as said in jamaican patwa. The aging (wondering how many years they’ve been grudging) grudge between Ghana’s top dancehall artistes (who made them Ghana’s top dancehall artiste?) , Bandana aka Shatta Wale (Shatta Wale a.k.a Bandana – not the other way round) and Samini (Samini aka Samini Batman & Batman) was again felt at the Loud In GH concert organized by Yfm at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Concert which headlined top dancehall artistes in the country had Samini and Shatta Wale on the bill, but to the surprise of many (do you have actual figures of those who were surprised?), Shatta Wale refused to stop performing after he had performed close to 30 songs knowing Samini was next to perform.

Several times he was signalled to end his performance but he chose to caution the organizers (he never cautioned the organisers: he singled out one of the MC’s of the night (KNUKUS) not to interfere in his performance) to allow him do his job which is to entertain his fans while the crowd kept on chanting his name (wale wale wale wale wale wale wale wale wale wale wale wale..that was the chorus). He was allowed to perform (who allowed him ORGANISERS? So why the complain?) and he never stopped.

His attitude compelled the organizers to pull the plug on the PA system (The movement sang the rest of his performance alongside him, it was even louder than the sound from the speakers) which Shatta Wale regardless kept on performing to the chant of his fans for some minutes before he gave up the stage.

The audience started leaving after Shatta Wale left the stage at around 0345 GMT thinking the show was over (Everyone knew Samini was next on the Bill…every tom dick & harry that was there knew SAMINI was slated to perform). As soon as Samini was introduced, many of the people who had left started returning (hahahahahahahhaha for what?) to the stadium wondering what had just happened (the movement had left the stadium and it was empty, the actual fact).

About half the audience had left and Samini ignited a huge cheer from those present when he insisted on performing to those who are ready to be entertained even if it would last till sunrise. (yea right!)

He delivered a great performance to the satisfaction of his fans despite the unnecessary delay he had to encounter. (Of 5 paragraphs of your article you did not find anywhere to say that despite whatever flaws Shatta Wale had on that day and however undisciplined he was, he had the best performance and crowd response of the night)

The concert which started three hours late (next time focus on the organisers who cannot just start their programs early rather than focusing on one act) had performances from eight underground dancehall artistes with Kaakie, Natural Face, Jupiter, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Samini entertaining the crowd that had filled a quarter of the stadium stands.
Oh before I forget … I just can’t help seeing so many MTN Ads on your website!!!!!!!
