  Nana Ampadu, Yamoah's and all those good folks of the past whose wonderful productions some of us came later to get a great feel of played wonderfully with passion. They were real artists who thought of quality before everything else, and that was creativity.
  
  Simple: In Ghana, modern musicians ONLY target home audience and get on with the feeling they are the best while copying and reproducing as fast as possible any tune someone managed to invent. This makes you have the impression of listening to the same dowdyish rehash all over again every time.
  
  Old time highlife is still loved by many outside. The tune has been polished and rhythms have been reproduced by Caribbean Zouk Music players.

  It is very true. In fact, I am a Ghanaian but I hate Ghanaian gospel music a lot. Our style of singing is very poor. I think the Ashantis the cause because of their tribalistic nature.

Is it Asantes who are preventing your ethnic or tribes men and women not to sing? everything you blame the Asantes, then why don't you tell your government that he should make Asante region an independent region because they are problematic in ghana, and i hope without ghana Asantes can live.

The method the Europeans used to enslaved our ancestors the same method they are using today i don't know the reason why only Afrikans fall victim to the Europeans. Now they have introduce a new trend called Internationalization or Globalization and they have captured a lot Afrikans. Let me elucidate how Internationalization or Globalization is a method of slavery and how Afrikans have fall victim.
  
  In Asia Internationalization to them means manufacture or produce things to the world market. Asians have good songs but you will never hear their songs outside Asia not even in Afrika are they not part of the so-called Globalization? how many Asians songs have you heard in Nigeria? do you want to tell me that Asians don't have songs or is it because they are not sing in English language we don't classified them as internationals right? but you patronize their goods in the world market.
  
  In Europe Internationalization is the same as the Asians, in America is the same as the Asians as well, but you patronize their goods of which you classified as an international standard, so you want to tell me that Germany, france etc, they don't have gospel songs? only in Afrika they always praise the oppressors, we Afrikans have trivia minds so we always fight over trivia things to destroy ourselves.
  
  Now this is how dark skin Afrikans understand Internationalization or Globalization, to Afrikans they can't manufacture anything to the world market, so the ability to speak 2by4 sub-standard English language without phonetics with fake accent to them is called internationalization. My question is when Afrika product like cocoa, bauxite,diamond, gold etc get to the world market do they classify it as international goods or Afrika goods? stop deceiving people that doing everything all in the name of English makes you internationalize, you can preach this to your Nigerians who are Oyibo worshipers let them still continue in slavery, give ghanaian gospel artistes a break. If internationalization is all about English language as Ghanaians or Afrika thinks then we live in a doomed world. If you know how to promote English language then go to Europe and tell those who use their native language which is not English that their gospel musicians are not internationally recognize. This shows clearly that is Afrikans who sold their own out to the Europeans, and those you called them international artistes who made them international? is it the ability to sing in English language? Afrikans always follow blind side of the world why?
  
  We all know that gospel is a message of Yeshua that lead to repentance, when the disciples of Yeshua were preaching to multitudes there wasn't anything like international language but they were able to win souls for Yeshua. If Ghanaians gospel artistes want to win souls solely for Yashua and not money then they should stick to the language that will allow their people to hear them, they should never listen to anyone who claim himself or herself as international artistes after all is God who is carrying His message across but not the singers if they really understand the world gospel. Population in ghana now is about 25 million let assume that 30% do not understand the language in which you composed the song but 70% do and out of the 70%, you were able to get 40% 0r 30% who bought your CD. The fact that 30% do not understand your language does not mean that your message can't touch them God through and His miraculous way will let your message touch his people.
  
  All that i can tell my Ghanaians artistes whether been gospel or what so ever is that stick to the language your people can patronize, they will call you all sorts of names like local champions, primitive etc, but never mind them they are the Devil incarnate hypocrite people, people who have sold their conscience to anything associate with foreign, people who were born to despise, don't for get that is dark skin Afrikans who sold their own people to the Europeans and it's going on even today. Most Ghanaians have rotten brains all what they know is to praise the oppressors and despise their own.
  
  Follow me if you can but put all the burdens behind

  You got overboard in your write up cslling Nigerians Oyibo worshipers while you know that cannot be true of Nigerians, most music that come from Nigeria that Ghanaian musicians copy and even some try to lyrics in Nigerian locsl languages all are rendered in Nigerian local languages.
  
  The real problems with Ghanaian music unacceptability on international platform is not about local Twi language it is rendered but the poor and monotonous style of the rhythim every gospel musician try to do. Listen to arrays of Ghanaian gospel music and you'll be confused differenciating one artist from the other especially a non Akan speaking listener, they all are similar in rendition and quite noisy to assimilate. You could have made efforts to identify why the snob of Ghanaian music abroad rather than your attack on Nigerians as Oyibo worshipers. I am sure you are aware Youssou N'dou is from a very small tribe from a suburb of capital of Senegal, he sings also in his wollof language that has gone worldwide. The problem with Ghanaian music and gospel is not the language perse but artistic defeciencies that has made them copy all manner of music from all over the place to the neglet of their own home bred Ghanaian tune. It is not about Nigerians doing gospel in English, it is about the quality they produce in the music that make the world accept their style of music including Ghanaians.

  I'm inclined to believe that your view does not reflect reality of music. Reggae songs will have basic structure common to all reggae songs, hence some similarities about them. The same can be said of hip pop, Congolese and other songs. I can't find room for your comment that every Ghanaian gospel "is rendered in poor and monotonous style " and yet you attribute the problem with Ghanaian gospel to "the neglet of their own home bred Ghanaian tune"

  The problem with the lack of International acceptability in my estimation is due to the following reasons:
  
  1. Ghanaians have a large capacity of consuming other songs from various countries. Songs from other Nations have found home on Ghanaian radio, and the diverse Ghanaian music consumer has led to songs from other Nationalities to thrive in Ghana sometimes at the expense of local Ghanaian talents. I have heard antidotal accounts of how the songs of other Nationals may not feature on some Nigeria radio stations. The take home message is for the various managers to take review songs aired on Ghanaian station and make sure these songs reflects more of Ghanaian content.
  2. My second point may be controversial but I presume it has to be stated. Radio presenters demand money from Ghanaians to air their songs, and when these artists can't pay up, these presenter fill their rotations with non-Ghanaian song or songs of Ghanaians who can afford to pay. This limits the quality of songs the Ghanaians can present to the world.
  3. The idea that foreign is better hold true for Ghanaian music as well. Ghanaians have invited American singer like Chris Brown, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and in a few days Fred Hammond to bigger stages at the detriment of local Ghanaian artists.
  4. Some Ghanaian local artist especially gospel singer thinks the answer lies in producing tracks worthy of competing in the International Market. Most of these songs end up on youtube and reverb national without any promo to direct patrons to their products. Consequently, most of these artists are not known in Ghana and those in the Diaspora who know them are youth who would rather download their songs for free. I have lived in three G7 countries close to three decade and I must say Ghanaians like their Ghanaian music. That is why Kweku Gyesi, Ohenmaa Mercy Tego Sister may get better outcomes for their events in the Diaspora as opposed to folks who are focusing on other non-Ghanaian nationals.
