A lady called my girlfriend and said, she has gotten a call from Ghana that there are actual posters of my girlfriend all over town that she is dead in the US. They saw a poster of a lady that may have looked like my girl and with the same first name and never bothered to verify. For all we know they were going to my girls Mom to console her.

understandable, given the distance between the States and Ghana! But what the author of this piece is lamenting,is the deliberate attempt to engage in mischief and cause unnecessary anxiety amongst the general public;often times with malice and evil political cmotivations and considerations lurking in the background!
Certain publications in this country, have achieved the dubious distinction of copying the National Enquirer`s method of concocting phantom stories with phony eyewitnesses,dates and references to non-existent journals,all with the view to giving credibility to such wicked stories! And given the herd mentality of our media,even so-called credible media platforms, pick up these'crazy' stories and run with them,not wanting to to miss out on the scoop.
If recent court rulings that have been handed down are any indication of the contempt the Judiciary attaches to this kind of despicable conduct that is slowly becoming part of our media culture,then we have reason to think that this 'evil' will cease!
