  We need a progressive policy. All adverts in Ghana must be created by wholly owned Ghanaian businesses and the songs and celebrities in the adverts must be wholly Ghanaian. The celebrities and musicians must receive royalties. All the wholly owned Ghanaian entities must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB.
  
  We must move into the era of music as a service (MAAS). At least 7 out of every 10 songs, movies and TV series played on our television stations, radio stations and entertainment centres must be wholly Ghanaian and must be produced in Ghana. These stations and entertainment centres must pay on a monthly or annual basis royalties to the Ghanaian artists. The amounts paid must be reasonable taking into consideration the profits of the entertainment establishments. However they must not pay any money whatsoever to the foreign artists because of the negative effect it would have on our GDP. The Ghanaian artists must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB. Many people can recall great shows like: By the fireside, Ultimate paradise, I told you so, The road to Kukurantumi, things we do for love, Akan drama with obra and co, home sweet home, Dr Paa Bobo´s songs etc
  
  There is lack of will and this must change.

  Well said Mr. Asare Hackman. For encouraging Ghanaian actors and actresses to be their own boss in the area of movie production. That is not bad. Aside the names you mentioned, we have Luckie Lawson and Hellen Omaboe who are also actresses and producers, of course you can't mention every body's name. Much as I appreciate your encouraging spirit, your readiness to assist and push this up and coming movie producers as a experience movie producer, will be more appreciated. With a little help from people like you, we can be assured of good movies. We don't want the movie industry to be like a soup without adequate salt. My personal boss, Mr. Ben Musah Imoro of Accra new town, who was the vice president of Ghana film producers association before I left Ghana to the States, that I know have a open door to assist any one who want to excel in the movie industry. Mr. B.M Imoro is a producer, the then member of Ghana censorship board. He is also a product of University of Ghana and NAFTI. He is well equipped with experience and unlimited skills. Mr. Hackman, aside you, we needs people like Mr. Imoro to be helping our movie producers. Long live the president of Film Producers Association of Ghana and long live Ghana movie industry.   In addition to what the first res-ponder, The Mask said. Mr. Hackman, I want to draw your attention to one major problem facing the movie industry. That is the middle men, known as the marketers. This marketers had monopolize, "if not hijack" the marketing and distribution of movie to the detriment of the producer by making it very difficult for others to enter. I wouldn't like to go in to details because, as a movie producer and a president of FIPAG, I believe you know the activities of this middle men, which is one of the reasons why some movie producers have stop producing movies. As you are urging actors and actresses to picks up the mantle of movie production, it will also be nice that you fight and create a flourish-able market for them to operates. Other than that, it will be like urging them to gamble with their money. We are therefore expecting more from you in this light than encouragement. Thank you Mr. Hackman. God Bless Ghana.
