That is the problem with Twi movies nowadays. The old guys who made the meaningful Twi movies have all be sidelined and we have to deal with lilwin and kwaku manu bad acting.

Where is Akrobeto? He needs to be the leading actor now. Agya Koo has wrecked his career with his empty pride. He is at least funny and a good Actor unlike lilwin and kwaku Manu.

One young Actor who is really good but not being marketed is Kwadwo Poku and Ron Paul is not bad either. They are far better than lilwin and the useless kwaku Manu.

Everything in Ghana has been denigrated to the abyss because of the excessive invasive nature of that Twi Language. Tro-tros stations blurting our far away destinations in Twi, Taxis chasing down pedestrians along sidewalks...shop keepers yapping in Twi about ignorant and backward things. Ghana has been destroyed by all the immigrants from the hinterlands. Believe me, if Accra goes so will Ghana. The ocean is the last frontier, and if we slowly turn Accra into any of our bush and uncivilized regions, where else would all these freaks go? Into the ocean!!! East is Togo, West is Ivory Coast, and everybody hates pompous and arrogant Ghanaians...

We need a progressive policy. All adverts in Ghana must be created by wholly owned Ghanaian businesses and the songs and celebrities in the adverts must be wholly Ghanaian. The celebrities and musicians must receive royalties. All the wholly owned Ghanaian entities must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB.

We must move into the era of music/movies as a service (MAAS). At least 7 out of every 10 songs, movies and TV series played on our television stations, radio stations and entertainment centres must be wholly Ghanaian and must be produced in Ghana. These stations and entertainment centres must pay on a monthly or annual basis royalties to the Ghanaian artists. The amounts paid must be reasonable taking into consideration the profits of the entertainment establishments. However they must not pay any money whatsoever to the foreign artists because of the negative effect it would have on our GDP. The Ghanaian artists must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB. Many people can recall great shows like: By the fireside, Ultimate paradise, I told you so, The road to Kukurantumi, things we do for love, Akan drama with obra and co, home sweet home, Dr Paa Bobo´s songs etc

There is lack of will and this must change.

A visit to the entertainment centres will reveal that Ghanaian songs are not being played.

First and foremost, most of those actors in Hollywood are properly trained some with one or two university degrees in various deciplines. Look at the level of illeteracy in Ghana.USA has one language, generally. Many do not understand our foolishly-adopted english language in Ghana. If we would quit the nonsense and manage our resources, including human resources, sanely, we will enjoy far better movies made in our own backyard in our own deeply understood language. What happened to NAFTI, as one asked on this forum? Until then, this comparison is useless but the critique is good.
