Davido is the son of a very rich Nigerian Dad he doesnt need the change, if he performs in Clubs and little gathering in Nigeria (unlike the so called VGMA) he would make times two of that GHC70,000.

After watching ¨Kukurantumi-road to Accra¨ produced in 1983 I was amazed at the quality of the movie in comparison to Ghanaian and Nigerian movies shown on our TVs today . The picture quality was excellent. The diction far better. It portrayed another aspect of life aside the plush mansions in Accra and Kukurantumi which is in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It is available on youtube and all must watch especially politicians and the youth of today.

We need a progressive policy. All adverts in Ghana must be created by wholly owned Ghanaian businesses and the songs and celebrities in the adverts must be wholly Ghanaian. The celebrities and musicians must receive royalties. All the wholly owned Ghanaian entities must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB.

We must move into the era of music/movies as a service (MAAS). At least 7 out of every 10 songs, movies and TV series played on our television stations, radio stations and entertainment centres must be wholly Ghanaian and must be produced in Ghana. These stations and entertainment centres must pay on a monthly or annual basis royalties to the Ghanaian artists. The amounts paid must be reasonable taking into consideration the profits of the entertainment establishments. However they must not pay any money whatsoever to the foreign artists because of the negative effect it would have on our GDP. The Ghanaian artists must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB. Many people can recall great shows like: Ultimate paradise, By the fireside, I told you so, the road to Kukurantumi (Kukurantumi-the road to Accra), things we do for love, Akan drama with osofo dadzie, obra and co, home sweet home, Dr Paa Bobo´s songs etc

There is lack of will and this must change.

The artists are just too afraid to talk, but slowly Charter House will suffer lost of corporate interest because a competition is coming. Shatta just has the voice to speak without any fear. Only if all the artist can campaign against Charter.

Davido is a so of a very wealthy Nigerian Billioneer and so necessarilly need to be paid to perform at the VGMA which is exactly what he declined to do. He started his music career out childhood passions, craving to be like his other youthful colleagues but not to make money for himself; unlike Shatta "Wale" who is coming from a poor farmily background to make tge most of his dancehall music, which has left him fighting every and anybody along the way to becoming a local champion. Davido is the biggest philantrofic among his peers in Nigeria, donated thousands of dollars to charity homes. He has also acquired acres of land in Lagos to build a school for the underprevilidged in Nigeria. Davido and Shatta don't belong to the same class therefore Shatta should look elsewhere for his rude and disrespectful challenge with his fellow artists. Davido can personally out of his music career pay Shatta's bills for the rest of his life.
