The Bible says, 'a candle light over the hill can never be hidde.' That is Nigeria music and talents.
Whether Ghanaians like it or not, Nigeria is truly blessed in all ramifications, compare to other African Nations. We are truly bless as a Nation.
It is either you taps from Nigeria blessings/wealth like Becca or DIE trying. A word is enough for the wise. He who Jah Blessed no one curse. Not even the hateful and xenophobic Ghanaians descendants of DEVELISH BUSIA. Stop hating.

Contemnor or whatever your name, you better go hang over Nigerian successes and stop worrying your soul over what is beyond your control. It doesn't take your hatred to stop tye progress Nigeria is making in all sphere of human development which Ghana is lacking. With Boko Haram problems in Nigeria, can't you still see thousands of Ghanaian families get employed by Nigerian investments in Ghana. Why don't you direct your anger to your fellow Ghanaians to boycott their employments with Nigerian Banks, Teleoms, Oil & Gas, Airline businesses, Insurance Companies etc. and also your Ghanaian traders to stop going to Nigeria to buy their wares. Stupid Contemnor.

Ghana is under a curse
General News of Monday, 30 September 2013
Source: Daily Guide
Reverend Robert Joseph Mark-Robertson, Head Pastor of the Tanokrom branch of Christian Faith Church International, near Takoradi, says Ghana is under a curse.
“I recently had a revelation during which God told me that the country is under curse and no matter what we do, if the leaders and the people don’t repent from their evil deeds, the country will not succeed in whatever it does.
“Ghana is under curse because of the attitude of some political and religious leaders who are using their positions to only fight for their selfish interests to the detriment of the people, he indicated.
Speaking to Daily Guide in an interview, the reverend minister noted that the call for peace by Ghanaians was misplaced.
According to him, Ghanaians must pray, repent and reconcile with God to avert His wrath.
“Over the past few years, I get worried when I think about Ghana. The rate at which disasters have visited our doorsteps makes me panic and wonder if we are on the right path with the Almighty,” he said.
Making reference to Isaiah 3:1-5, Rev Mark-Robertson explained that whenever the Israelites suffered calamities beyond their understanding, they turned to God for reasons and He always answered them.
He chided some men of God in the country who extort money from their followers.
“Instead of these religious leaders to pray to avert God’s wrath on the nation, they have resorted to using certain dubious means to rob their church members of huge sums of money,” he added.
He alleged that some pastors, who operate what he termed as ‘one man churches,’ visit ‘juju’ men to get some spiritual powers to perform miracles and collect the monies of unsuspecting church members.
“Some religious leaders in Ghana have taken a cue from the traditional priests.
“I cannot fathom why majority of Ghanaians continue to live in abject poverty even though God has blessed this country with almost all we need to improve our standard of living. Ghana is indeed under a curse,” he alleged.

Nigeria is jinxed, cursed, Says Obasanjo
Jide Jegede
Published: August 13,2013
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo
The former president condemned younger generation of leaders.
While reviewing Nigeria’s history since independence, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said the country may have been cursed with poor and irresponsible leaders.
Mr. Obasanjo, who gave the keynote address at the 4th Annual Ibadan Sustainable Development Summit organised by Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Ibadan, in collaboration with African Sustainable Development Network, on Tuesday, said if Nigerians were yet to commend a leader after 53 years of independence, “Then we are jinxed and cursed; we should all go to hell.”
He also condemned the younger generation of leaders in the country, saying they lack integrity and probity and have failed their people woefully.
Making specific reference to his Vice President for eight years, Atiku Abubakar; former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu; former Speaker, House of Representatives, Salisu Buhari; former Bayelsa State Governor, Deprieye Alamieyeseigha; and others as younger generation of leaders, the former President said Nigeria was not lucky even with them.
“We had some people who were under 50years in leadership positions. One of them was James Ibori, where is he today? One of them was Alamieyeseigha, where is he today? Lucky Igbinedion, where is he today?
“The youngest was the Speaker, (Salisu) Buhari; you can still recall what happened to him. You said Bola Tinubu is your master. What Buhari did was not anything worse than what Bola Tinubu did.
“We got them impeached. But in this part of the world some people covered up the other man. The man claimed he went to Government College, Ibadan but the governor (Oyo State) went to Government College and packed all the documents so that they would not know that he did not go there.
“I wanted someone who would succeed me so I took Atiku. Within a year, I started seeing the type of man Atiku is. And you want me to get him there?
“I once went to Tanzania because Julius Nyerere recognised Biafra. He told me not to mind his aides and others in government. They would say they have one house in town but their five year old sons and daughters would have houses all over.
“Some of you who are condemning the leadership would get there tomorrow and it will be a different story. Only very few are actually good.
“Abacha, my predecessor got $750m. Through our lawyer in Switzerland we recovered $1.25bn and the lawyer still said there is probably still another $1bn to be recovered [The figures didn't add up but that was what the former President said]. In 1979 we had 20 new ships specially built for Nigeria. When I came back 20 years after, the national shipping line had liquidated.
“The whole thing is not just about leadership. If we talk about good leadership you should also talk about good followers. If you talk about human right you should also talk about human duties and obligations.
“It is sad that after 53years of independence we have no leader that we can commend. The problem in Africa is that when one person takes over he would not see any good thing that his predecessor did. Let us condemn but with caution,” the former military ruler and two-term democractically elected president said.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Isaac Adewole said he was worried about the fate that could befall the country as she holds her general elections in 2015.
“We have not raised question about the scenario where 35 people found it difficult to conduct credible election in this country,” the don said in reference to the election of the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum that has polarized Nigeria’s 36 state governors.

When you have a talent, you perfect what you do and forget about cash because it will eventually come. In Ghana, when a person can do something, their attention is fixed on getting rich quick instead of being the BEST at what they do. Remember African movie industry? Ghana was pioneer. I was a kid in school and watched Kwaw Ansah's LOVE BREW IN THE AFRICAN POT. I cannot forget how good this movie was but we soon sat down and Nigeria took over the industry. Today, NOLLYWOOD is booming and Ghanaians don't want watching Ghana movies anymore. SHAME!

Do not surrender our entertainment industry to Nigerians. The ministry of trade and industry has failed woefully to address the problems of the entertainment industry.
We need a progressive policy. All adverts in Ghana must be created by wholly owned Ghanaian businesses and the songs and celebrities in the adverts must be wholly Ghanaian. The celebrities and musicians must receive royalties. All the wholly owned Ghanaian entities must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB.
We must move into the era of music/movies as a service (MAAS). At least 7 out of every 10 songs, movies and TV series played on our television stations, radio stations and entertainment centres must be wholly Ghanaian and must be produced in Ghana. These stations and entertainment centres must pay on a monthly or annual basis royalties to the Ghanaian artists. The amounts paid must be reasonable taking into consideration the profits of the entertainment establishments. However they must not pay any money whatsoever to the foreign artists because of the negative effect it would have on our GDP. The Ghanaian artists must use wholly owned Ghanaian banks like ADB. Many people can recall great shows like: Kukurantumi-road to Accra, Ultimate paradise, By the fireside, I told you so, things we do for love, Akan drama with osofo dadzie, obra and co, home sweet home, TV theatre, Dr Paa Bobo´s songs etc
There is lack of will and this must change.

What's wrong with what she said? First Nigerian has the population. Business is numbers, the more consumers the more money. Nigerians later figured out if they package themselves well (better videos, bigger collabos, better sound) they will win (flooding the awards and major TV networks, getting bigger concerts) and control and that's what they are doing. If you can't beat them, might as well join them. If Ghana wants to win, there have to be money invested, or else forget.

Ghanaian artists are not of international standard yet they make the most noise, not even on the African continent do they make any impact in entertainment. It is diservice to oneself when you tend to critisize others who are doing better than you and choose to remain in the comfort zone of mediocrity; it certainly doesn't take you anywhere because the assessments of your qualities are not viewed from your own parrochial and self deceptive lenses. Lovers of entertainments worldwide puts you on the scale of who exactly you are and to what class you belong and not what you think of yourself.
The Nigerian entertainment industry has passed this mediocrity level Ghanaians artists are still struggling to deal with. Becca has hit the nail right on the head and whoever disagree could continue to watch others make progress and get recognised around the world. Take the quality of collaborations Nigerian artists are involved in from the USA and top other renound artists from the western world, and match that with the dancehall Ganja smokers from the Carribean Ghanaian artists are fond of exploiting for their struggling music industry. You may not like Becca in person or what she said but as an industry insider; you cannot completely fault her assertions because she is a recognised player of the entertainment industry in Africa and beyond.
