  I met Kiki once near the Joy FM station location and had a chat with him. He came to me when he saw me holding a guitar.

  She certainly made my day by being honest,but still being able to turn around some of the interviewer`s preposterous questions to her advantage. You go girl!!!

  I should also add that being close to members of the Osibisa group Kiki's drug addition featured in my conversations with the late Mac Tonto. According to Mac he took Kiki as his son and tried to help him manage his lifestyle as a young brilliant star. Mac says the trouble really started when Kiki broke off from Osibisa to record 'Doing my thing' which by the way is really beautiful.

  Quick fame, fast life can harm a child star in Hollywood very quick. It takes grounding and a solid family to help. My late Dad Joe Brown (rip) was a very close friend to the Osibisa band. They. Came to.toronto on various occasions to hang out with him. My old man will tell me stories about every Osibisa member, how they started, how they took lessons from ramblers etc. Kiki was a victim of his own doing. After a while, he stopped hanging out with Osibisa preferring to date carribbean and later these white ladies. The 1 thing synonymous with these rock stars was hard drugs and in the 80s coke and Crack was in full swing. The drugs is what messed him up. Teddy osei was also a victim to drugs in the UK. Vanessa should focus on the charity idea and perhaps try to a documentary of Osibisa as tribute to what they accomplished for Ghana. U see, Ghana after independence was an enigma. The sons and daughters who traveller's early outside Ghana had it too.good but it all got.to their heads. Pat Thomas would have ended up the same had he not taken lessons from Kiki. Most people in Toronto know pat Thomas from his chalkfarm residence. Ask him if he knows Joe brown

  that is only part of the story. kiki was far gone by the time he left osibisa. however, mac tontoh was in no position to help kiki because mac was a drug-user himself.

Well, Kiki Gyan made all that dough, but he squandered it on drugs and wild life. We all know and saw Kiki around Adabraka and some areas before he died. Sorry for your loss but i don't think Osibisa did anything wrong. Life's choices are important.

  We all made mistakes in life but the best to happened to man is taking a lesson from ones mistakes. I have learnt a lot from Kiki and we spoke and laugh and he advices me to stay away from drugs. When Kiki started making millions, the bad guys approached him in NY n offered him cocaine for free and he told me ;;; man the saddest day in my life was the day I tasted cocaine in NY.. from that day my life started moving backwards..
  I blame the Osibisa members and mostly the family members who should have been close to him but KIKI told me at a point, it was difficult to see me since I have so many security around me.. When KIKI performe with the band hhe travelled with from Ghana to London when he was just 14 years, the whole London learnt that there was a wonder sensational keyboardist in the UK. that single record was a hit and KIKI had it before his death and I really wanna listen to it again. May his sould rest in peace...
