  All this time there has been no interrogation of a key witness. I guess the police are waiting for some "goro" or money for petrol, before they will send someone to start the investigation. What a country ?!!

  Unbelievable! A key witness and she hasn't even been interviewed.
  Africans/Ghanaians we are truly useless.

  The police in Ghana is a joke. Until the police becomes a truly independent law enforcement organization it will remain only accountable to the whims and caprices of the highest bidder, the President of the nation. The Inspector General, the police chief owes his appointment to the President and he's accountable to him only. When the President says it's alright it's alright. The police cannot discharge its duties to the public in a fair and equitable manner so long as the President remains the appointing authority and the one calling the shots. It's what it's because even the President is accountable to no one and wields too much power under the present constitution. As things stand now the police cannot prosecute high profile cases without approval from the President. The police does not have the balls to take on any appointee, friend or family of the President or any person of great influence and wealth without the President of Ghana giving his nod of approval. The police as it's presently constituted is impotent and only accountable to the President. President Mahama has shown by his numerous actions (for example his cabinet and other appointments) that he is too partisan and biased to be President of all ghanaians. He is the law and the law is him. The nation became an independent nation 57 years ago but the police and other state institutions are yet to gain their independence after 57 years of existence in an independent nation. The BNI is one more example of a state institution under the dictatorship and tyranny of the president.Whenever it pleases the President he can use the BNI to intimidate and harass his political opponents or those who have sympathies for the opposition. We have to reduce the powers of the President and make him accountable to the people and make state institutions stronger and independent, accountable only to the people of Ghana. Ghana presently is a lawless nation where power belongs to the highest bidder.
