The last time she wrote about the south African hairstyle, she got a bunch of modern day beautiful ladies rocking that hairstyle, so people would automatically associate them to south a Africa. Why didn't she use pictures of the village girls in South Africa, the ratchet ones not the clean and beautiful ones? I know she's not talking about only Ghana, but Africa as a whole, and it ain't cute , great way of depicting the modern African woman who opts for natural hair, no wonder yall self hating so called celebrities love those nasty and ugly weaves and wigs, you'd have put a photoshopped pic of them with mortician make up and one damn ugly wig depicting beauty, but you talking about natural and this is what you choose, I'm so mad, you suck, mtchewwww

I don't think a person should stay in Ghana, and try to act all akata, throwing away our culture, but if you ate living outside Ghana, your best friends may be from that country and it is possible you'd unconsciously pick on a thing or two over so many years and vice versa on their part, that is not giving them a pass, but you still have to stay true to who you are as an African. A person in Ghana taking pride in tattoos, crazy makeups which would eventually pose health problems, that's the kind of stuff I'm talking about y'all. I've been a Bob Okala before too with those nasty stuff, then voila I had a wake up moment and saw that bright light at the end of that dark tunnel and I'm like hell no, I threw out all my wigs and stuff, so damn liberating. I remember how we used to braid our hair with that thread (agyinagyinaho) and ntekuma and other beautiful traditional hairstyles and other creative styles for our natural hair, wish we could rock those styles today definitely with a Lil modern twist to it. We've been brainwashed to think our hair and hairstyles are ugly, we so gullible that it hurts. I see these girls in Ghana being hailed as celebrities putting on mortician yacky tons and tons of makeup and Ghana hails them, you dare not say shit about dem lest their blind followers would jump at you and call you a hater. We got beautiful skin and don't need all that. I take a shower and I'm cute and ready to go and my white friends can't even think of going out on public without at least touching up, and you riding with them and when the light turns red, bingo they gotta use a mascara or something, and I'm like gosh I'm blessed with this fine skin which exudes confidence and beauty beauty, then you look at your beloved country and girls are now making fools out of themselves by putting on off color makeup, at least put on something that fits your skin tone, duh. I feel sad for the little girls in Ghana now who would never know how beautiful they are or what true beauty is since their role models are now Celebrities who are lost and need to be rescued themselves. We are known for our over the top copy cat tendencies but at least let us save a little bit of Ghana. SAD

I was like I got a busy schedule, and our hair is hard to manage, but when you start it you'll realize it's not that bad. White people have hair issues also but they got a ton of hair products to help them. You go to a place like Walmart and you see a whole aisle for white hair products and a tiny spot labeled ethnic hair products for us. If blacks who know hair would team up, they could come out with a lot of products to help us too. We don't realize it but we do look funny, especially with certain types like the blonde weaves and wigs, that sure is funny. There are good chemical free products out there for us. Well it screams I so hate my hair maybe and your hair partly makes you so... well hopefully we'll somehow get it

. could you not get any other picture apart from the one you used?
Now to the commentary part. When it comes to maintaining natural hair, it actually depends on the hair type and also the choice of the person. Certain hair types do not need to be moisturized everyday, shampooed every time or styled each time. There are several ways to keep your hair clean and in good condition without spending a lot of money. Also to be able to make an effective claim that it is quite expensive, you should be able to compare and contrast how much goes into maintaining permed hair and how much goes into maintaining natural hair.then you can effectively conclude that one is more expensive.
You made mention of the fact that the least price of natural hair products is $10. That is not factually accurate.
May I please suggest you research more before you write. I can see you have a thing for natural hair because this is your second article on it.

Most of these products are branded as "natural" which the public assumes are naturally designed for that particular texture; but reading the ingredients gives a different story. Usually the price associated with these products are higher priced. When it comes to organic hair products, it is usually sourced from high quality ingredients and so there is cost that is handed down to the consumer; and these products are quite effective. So, being does not have to be expensive when it comes to effectively naturing your hair.
