Now you wonder why these mixed girls walk around with a chip on their shoulders because at the end of the day our men prefer them better than us because that is what most of them consider as pretty, have you heard of the saying Orange or high yellow is the new black? Very soon if we are not careful we would not be able to produce our own kind because our men dont want us, being smart, independent,educated, rich, respectful and hardworking dark skinned sister doesn't matter to them anymore, all it takes is for one to be mixed or light skinned and they would bring you heaven and earth. I am not hating on our dark skinned sisters because its not their making that our men prefer them if they dump our men they would come begging us,even some of our parents insult us because of our skin color because they also don't know any better. If you have a black daughter and you buy that child a white doll to play with instead of a black doll you should'nt be surprised if that child grows up to hate their beautiful dark skin. We should tell our black boys and girls that black is beautiful. In Africa today all that we are being shown on tv depicts the white woman as very pretty with long flowing hair with pale skin. At the end of the day what matters is the person who would make you laugh, love, respect and support you regardless of skin color should be the most important thing i hope our men our not doing this to follow trends.
