African slavery is quite different from slavery introduced by the Europeans. Slavery amongst Africans was different, because those slaves were not maltreated. They were even allowed to marry into the family of the people they worked for. They were fully integrated into the society and no one was even allowed to refer to them as slaves. In the past teenage pregnancies were very rare and not accepted by society. Children were brought up with good morality through traditional rites such as puberty rites.
Is Jesus not an intermediary to your Christian God (Jehovah)?

How dare you to refer to our culure and native religion as demonic? Is Buddhism demonic? Is Daoism demonic? Is Hindusim demonic? Is Judaism demonic? Is Shintoism demonic? If not, why are you considering African religions or ancient indigenous beliefs in general as demonic? I wonder when Christians and Muslims will stop claiming hegemony over all other religions. Is it by force to be a Christian?

We Akans believe in our creator Nyame-Nyankopon-Odumankome, the mother of the earth Nana Yaa Asaase, whom we worship through the children of our creator (Abosom) and we also believe in ancestor homeage, who are both closer to the spiritual and material world.

Christianity is also against our culture. For a woman to be submissive as the bible suggests is against the culture of a matrilineal society such as the Akan. Meanwhile the very people, who forced you into Christianity do no more practise what they preach.

If one really has a problem with his/her own culture, then she/he must stop practising it! That person must stop in performing Akan naming ceremonies, stop conducting funerals in the Akan fashion, stop pouring libation, stop engaging in Akan festivals such as Akwasidae, stop the practise of customary marriages, even stop bearing an Akan soul/day names, since they have a spiritual connection to the cosmology of the Akan people. They must also avoid praising Nyame/Nyankopon since this is how the Akans referred to their creator.They must stop practising all aspects of their culture.One cannot say I embrace my culture, but I reject the spiritual aspect of it. This is not possible, one does not exist without the other.

As John Henrik Clare once said:

Conquered states even were allowed to remain independent. No one was allowed to maltreat or even disclose the origin of his fellow citizen. Have you forgotten the likes of Bantamahene etc who were heavily fined for doing so.

Christianity was in the middle east and Asia long before it came to Europe so if you have allowed yourself to be Europeanized, that is your problem. I can also conclude that Majid does not condone the practice, but may never discriminate against such people.

But the most striking thing that Majid said which none of you have referenced is that, he said he cannot understand persons who claim to be Christians but choose to practice homosexuality. Now certainly it is ok to call him a hypocrite because we all practice certain social habits that are against the teachings of Christianity. Just be mindful that the host did not ask him about "fornication" "adultery" or any other vices.

For me my personal opinion is that "Homosexuality" is a Genetic and Psychological deficiency, and that it ought to be cured cautiously, thus a gay person can declare themselves Christians if they get 95% of all the good teachings of the bible but fall by the wayside on others. Not even Jesus may have been perfect. Also, someone who does not have desires for the opposite sex, but has never engaged in the act cannot be deemed a pervert. After all there are several heterosexuals who may never have had intercourse because they are incapable or scared of the act, or simply too filthy to attract someone of the opposite sex.
