There is nothing beautiful telling our stories in our local languages ,made in our local places , projecting our cultural heritage . We thank KUMAWOOD and all these artists, who make this cultural awareness come through.

When has Kumawood ever shot a Hausa, Ga or Ewe movie, to give pride and beauty to our LOCAL LANGUAGES as you Akans like to identify Twi.

Truth be known it is a farce, there is nothing sensible, sophisticated or educational about these backward attitude Twi movies. Almost always tomfoolery and denigration of our most primitive lifestyles which the masses gulp like fufu and soup or tilapia and banku. Even when they try to add a polished touch to it, they look more primate. Twi is harsh, nosensical and confrontational, perhaps the soft spoken versions in Fanti and Akuapim are slightly pleasant to the eardrums.

Obviously what she describe proves that there is no originality in Kumawood except to prove to the world that they to have an Advanced language. Kumawood is all about TWI LANGUAGE nothing more, it's like some inferiority complex of not being noticeable. Everything in Ghana essentially is about Twi language, no wonder we can't develop. You can never fantasize dreaming or thinking in Twi (FACT)!!! and good movies are all about fantasies and real life experiences. Who has any real life intrigues, suspense or romance out of KUMALAND?

You have made your point but i think the best thing to do in order to see more local movies in different lanquages is for more groug to come from other ethnic group and act in that lanquage.Is all about marketing.I remember there were few movies which was acted in hausa but is seems to be no more.what the producers of such movies have to do is to market or promote it very well.You cannot blame the kumawood for acting only in Twi because the producers want them to and also most of this kumawood actors probable can speak only one local lanquage.
On the business side,film producers will only invest their money where they think they can have a return on their investment.so they might have noticed that Akan movies will make them more money.I will be so happy if other tribes will form group that can start making movies in their respective lanquages. Don't also forget that the akan speaking are the majority and is easier to sell movies to all of them.Marketing is very important in business. i like Ga music though i don't understand the words but some of them are well marketed and also has a very good rythm which will compel a non Ga speaking person to buy. Take Telemo for instance it has a good beat and is been marketed well.

Students comment, Kuma wood or twi movies should act hausa movies? If you can't beat them join them, even gospel songs are mostly in twi, you try ewe gospel song and see whether you may get three people to buy them,
