Who cares about English. The Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Jewish, etc have found ways to acquire technology and are contributing to the progress of our common humanity. US does not care about the queens language, they spell and pronounce words as they please, it is common sense that matters. Educated person must be honest, patriotic, sensible, law abiding, kind, reasonable, etc.
