Korean idols/rappers don't sell out in America. A 5,000-10,000 attendees for a concert isn't even considered large which is what Korean idols/rappers sell in America.

No wonder other musicians from the different tribes never get anywhere. They take the easy way out by singing or adding Twi or playing an already established beat(hiplife, afrobeats, azonto beats, etc).

And don't forget that Twi is also spoken in the Eastern part of Ivory Coast. Half of my family are originally from there and they speak Bono and other types of Twi. I'm Brong so I speak Brong and Asante.

When did music marketing in the country became a regional thing?

One disgusting thing the ethnocentric tribal based NDC criminally corrupt party had succeeded doing is politically pluralizing everything Ghana on tribal lines for political control.

Music is patronized not necessarily because of the language but because of the sweet melody. For instance Ghanaians like South African music not because they understand the language but for the rhythm and smooth melody.

Same in Ghana, people intend to buy more Akan music not necessarily because they understand Twi, but for the popular highlife rhythm and the melody, which is the Ghanaian style.

I enjoy Bobobo from the Volta not because of the Ewe language but rhythm and melodic arrangement and the dance.

Above all, I enjoy my Wulomei style of music as a Ga but I can say Gas should raise their musioc market share simply because it will not work as the Akan are the majority and popularly sang in Twi which the Nigerians and a lot foreign love so why don't we simply say lets raise the Ghanaian market share on the international market than regionalising it.

Please study Akan poems & history to understand why that Kingdom of Empire gave way for other lesser tribes like Ewe people to join inclusive modern politics. You get respect from others if you gives first respect. You remain a lesser & inferior if you think evil like your type. Typical of the other tribes in Ghana. They bemoan and complain but yet they go about learning Twi as if someone's forcing them to. The other tribes are like the Koreans. They claim to dislike the Japanese but guess what? They learn Japanese and sing songs there because Japan has the second largest music industry in the world. What a bunch of hypocrites! Move out if you think the Akans are unfair to you. And last time I checked the Akans are the majority and of course the majority is always liked over others. Ex: the Han Clan of China are way popular than the other Clans because they built the Great Wall of China, their culture, their Chinese, fighting styles(Kung Fu, martial arts, wushu, etc). Or the Hindi people of India as they're the biggest and their culture is far more liked and known(Bollywood, their traditional clothing, the Henna, etc).
