Brian Williams, the NBC "Nightly News" anchor who admitted he falsely recounted a story that he was in a helicopter that was hit by ground fire in Iraq in 2003, was suspended without pay by for six months, according to an internal NBC News memo.
The memo, written by NBC News President Deborah Turness, says Williams was notified of the suspension Tuesday and that an investigation into his actions continues. She said Williams "misrepresented events," which she called "wrong and completely inappropriate for someone in Brian's position."
NBC chief executive officer Steve Burke included a statement in Turness's memo, saying Williams "deserves a second chance and we are rooting for him. Brian has shared his deep remorse with me and he is committed to winning back everyone's trust."
An interview with Star and Stripes newspaper conducted last week and published Monday provided a more detailed look at the embattled anchor's recollection of the events 12 years ago. Williams backed out of scheduled appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show" this coming Thursday.

Ghanaian journalists are becoming nuisance with their demands to be given special treatment in the country.

When Brian Williams of the popular NBC Nightly News was suspended for lying nobody cry in this free media country and he is now back after serving his suspension but moved to a sister station and he and everyone is okay with that but in Ghana we want to be treated like gods.
She better wait up until the suspension is over before if she wants to change the job she does so,if she is not fired she needs to wait to resolve the issue with the company.

When we eagerly and slavishly seeks fame, it is easy to jump on anything in the media for attention. Although disproportionate relative to the 'crime' committed, nevertheless, it was a serious professional infraction on her part. Elsewhere she will be 'blacklisted' and will find it difficult to land on a job quickly as being perceived and believed. Let it try it.Sampson should spend time to 'learn' the Law well to mature instead of jumping on anything for cheap popularity.

Many a times when some people aquire fame and success, they get carried away and think they can get away with anything.
It doesn't work that away and in the saga between Nana Aba Anamoah and her employers,the company must set high standard and example to uphold it's reputation in order not to create impression which may give the opportunity for employees to bring the company into disrepute.
Nana Aba might be everything but if she has done anything wrong which merits punishment why should she be spared?No any establishment will give room for anyone to be bigger than it.
In Ghana People are always quick to take sides and pronounce judgements without even bothering to look for facts and causes.
It takes time and hard work to build a good reputation and TV3's management aren't that stupid to jupiduice that.
She's under suspension while inversigation is ongoing so let not joe public jump to conclusions at this stage until all facts are established.
