A lot of people hates NDC for all the looting. Lets talk about NPP, they spent $200 million on Ghana @ 50. It's that reasonable for a beggar country?. When oil was discovered and they signed the contract, they negotiated at a LOSS for Ghana for their own benefit. They negotiated 10% for Ghana whiles they got 5% commission for acting as 'agent' for bringing in the foreign company. When Mills gov't came to power. He challenged the deal and had the company take 3% from the 'agent's' 5% to make Ghana earn 13%. So NPP currently receives a 2% money share from the oil which is in some $100 millions, as long as the years on the contract hasn't expire. Now anyone who has lived in the middle east knows the power of oil and how much it brings economic transformation to the country. You are impressed when you go to DUBAI, ask them what resources did they used to build up such a city. Before, it was desert and a fishing port.
I care less who is in charge. I count on the Father above for my daily bread. Lets be realistic, gov't workers are about 20,000 work force. The salaries used for paying such workforce is 60-70% of the GDP. Add 10% of corruption. Ghana's GDP per year is in $40 BILLION. Do the math and see how much is left to improve the lives of a population of about 26-28 million. There is no hope. That's why the country will forever be in poverty and debt. It doesn't have independent money to cater for it's citizens. You shall know the truth and it shall set you free. When you are informed, you see people in such a high ignorant state. People killing each other over politics, loosing eye, acid attacks. My question. Exactly what does it do for you?. My answer: Absolutely nothing but POVERTY!!!

Had it not been that Accra is the capital city of Ghana where other more hard-working industrious Ghanaians engage in development oriented business and inject capital, the Ga people of Accra who also follow the NDC like sheep to the slaughter, would have faced the same problems of backwardness. Even in spite of these beneficially enabling conditions, the evidently conspicuous Ga communities in Accra have been left far behind in the most squalid, rural, under-developed and inhospitable areas of the capital city.
