The fact is Ghana as a nation did not have standards for automobile manufacturing in the country because nobody was manufacturing vehicles. When Kantanka finished their first set of vehicles and sent to Ghana Standard Board for certification, they were told to rather help the Ghana Standard Board to develop one since it doesn't exist. So you see, if for nothing at all through their efforts we now have such standard in Ghana. I have been to their plant before and I can bet you that, their vehicles can compete very well with known brands. It's wiser and more profitable to have Ghanaian made vehicles than foreign ones which kill us any way.

Let's support our own than discouraging, they've done what we've stopped doing after Nkrumah.

My problem here is that it's wrong to start with luxury cars. It would have made more business sense to start with cheap saloon cars that can be used as taxis and buses that transport companies can use. They can provide good and cheap after sales services which will give them leverage over the international brands. When their market is big enough they can then introduce SUVs. I sincerely hope they've done their homework well. Good luck Kantanka and every GH brand trying to grow.

Thats why labels like "made in Germany" are misleading it must rather be something like "assembled in Germany".
