Why include the beast of no nation movie in the list? The movie instead of being staged in one of the countries where war took place that has given West Africa and Africa a bad image, rather chose to be staged in Ghana to create the impression to the outside world Ghana suffered the same.
Many in the world know Ghana to be an island of peace in West Africa where most countries surrounding it have tasted war.
What do you expect the ones who know nothing or little about Ghana to think? Tourism has been slapped on one cheek and we are turning the other cheek to be slapped by rewarding the movie and the makers of it.
The movie makers could have perfectly had the set in Liberia, Ivory Coast, Sierra leone, Congo and Rwanda, just to mention a few and their movie would have been much credible and the story well told and received.
If their argument is to deter Ghanians from potential unrest, then the use of Ghanaian actors and promotion of it to be screened in Ghana would have met their vision or objective and not staging it in Ghana.
Why then award the movie and its cast? We should be condemning it!
