Look, just because a question has been asked does not mean it has to be answered. You can answer a question without answering it, not everything is for public consumption. In this instance what you could have done was to resolve your issues with this guy privately when u see him. no one else had to know about this. Anyway, much love to you, I'm a big fan of you as a person.
