You mean you do not seriously know what is happening to this country? If you really want to know, what is happening is that, the govt of which this Gideon guy is a functionary has almost nearly destroyed the country that we live in. The entire country is in a near-state of collapse. That is what is happening.

Every sector of the economy - including roads, have relapsed into terribly bad conditions which make it more likely for accidents such as this to become more likely. And get it straight, just plastering roads with asphalt before elections, does not make it a good road. Even the once famous moral disposition of Ghanaians and the commendable public discipline that once made living in this country bearable in spite of our under-developed status, have been rendered asunder - broken into irrecoverable pieces of a nightmare.

This is what bad governance leads to. It is not only bad economic management and the related failure of public institutions to perform, which constitutes and exposes bad government.

And finally let me tell you straight in the face that Jesus or God will definitely not come down to relieve you of problems which are basically due to your own careless inability to think properly. Your problems, in this regard, are of your own making. God and Jesus are not fools nor are they your servants who will continuously step in to do your dirty menial jobs for you when you constantly piss and shit on your own selves. At least give some modicum of credit, dignity and respect to God and Jesus. Aba!

If you expressly and wilfully vote for politicians and political parties that to all intents and purposes, show that they will mess up your country and you actually go ahead to vote for them and they have subsequently made this frightening situation a reality, why do you think that God or Jesus should come and correct your man-made foolishness for you? You simply deserve what you ask for. It is as simple as that.

The main reason why we continue to remain backward and under-developed is that we refuse to think - and even when in the rare instance, we do, we do not think creatively. We only copy what others are doing - even if badly. And because we refuse to think we always rush to wealthy relations and competent members of society as well as incompetent govts - and failing that, to God and Jesus to bail us out. It makes it seem as if we really and truly have not reached the status of being described as human.

Mind you, much as I sympathize with the isolated instance of the official and his driver who were involved in this particular accident, I beg you to refer to the official statistics of vehicle accidents and deaths on our roads. It runs into several thousands each and every year - and quite often in the areas. In the first two months of this year (January and February) alone, I understand the statistics for gory accidents and deaths on our roads, have already reached into the hundreds. Why?? It is as if there is no govt at all in this country.
