What I admire most about him is his fortitude in focusing on ehst he is doing and not being distracted.

From the videos that I've watched, it appears the lady(?) threw the first punch and the honorable(?) replied her with equal measure.It's unfortunate that instead of using the TV and the radio station platforms to inform and educate the people of Ghana on matters of national interest, some Ghanaians are rather using these stations to get back at people they disagree with. I'll put the blame on Afia, Kennedy and the TV or radio station that aired the vitriolic words from both sides parties. Whether they like it or not Afia and Kennedy are role models for some kids in Ghana. The radio or the TV stations must also vet respondents before they air their views. What kind of message are they passing on to the kids? Our moral decadence has reached an all time low. This is not the Ghana we've known all these years.

This media frenzy has become intolerable
I was overwhelmed by pronouncements made by Afia Schwarzenegger and Ken Agyapong on my facebook and whatsApp posts.
This problem demands a common, coherent policy to regulate the media.
Ghana is peaceful, rich by it culture and accessible to foreigners.
Our colonial masters once referred to us as the gentlemen from Africa.
This media frenzy would have been manageable if the National media Commission is working efficiently and effectively pursuant to National Media Commission Act 1993, Act 449 by virtue of the provisions of Chapter 12 of Ghana's 1992 Constitution which enjoins among others to take all measures to ensure the establishment and maintenance of the highest journalistic standards on mass media, including investigation, mediation and settlement of complaints made against or by the press or other mass media.
The willingness of the National Media Commission to ensure highest journalistic standards is questionable as we have observed such over a period of time.
Unless order is restored, soon pilitical pressure will force the citizens to clamp down, starting a wave of “yen tie obia”. The situation today is a mess. It epitomises lack of sensitivity, legal and moral responsibility.
Ensuring a well-regulated system requires three steps.
The first is to curb the ‘push factors” for example curb recruitment/appointment of amateur presenters and beef up recruitment by employing the right people with the right accreditation.
The second is to employ compliance officers in all the media houses to advise on legal matters relating to their operations.
Third, the National Media Commission (The Agency) is to come out and condemn the pronouncements and tutor the masses on high journalistic standards and enjoins them to disdain such social pretensions.
Freedom of Speech is as fundamental as the right to respect to private and family life but not absolute. It is limited to the law of slander, libel and seduction.

Coming to the real factss of the matter.
The question is did Kennedy Agyepong say that the President's mother and Ibrahim Mahama are drug dealers? Yes he did and I live overseas but the voice has circulated abroad of the parliamentarian saying that.
2. Is his statement true or false? This is where the problem started because the BNI and Food and Drugs Board should have investigated the allegation. Is it HARD DRUGS or prescription drugs he was talking about? No one knows it could be a hoax or decoy to stir decent against the president so it is the judiciary that had to show the way.
But the judiciary arm has become impotent with a Chief Justice appointed by another government, crippled by corruption expose by Anas and an Attorney General that is unable to prosecute anyone because of the longest standing judgment debt cases.
3. With such a big vacuum where no one is calling the parliamentarian out for his statement against the first family if the land and a profane statement coming from such an honorable position of Kennedy it becomes outrageous that even the privleges committee was unable to query the Kennedy man.
But what even makes it even more melancholy was that Kennedy tomped his chest saying he deliberately said what he said because others meaning the populace had accused a long standing family dispute of Nana Akuffo Addo that he had killed his former pregnant wife during a domestic violence metted by Nana Addo.
3. So he Kennedy was seeking a balance so he also accused the president Mahama family of dealing drugs since both Mahama and Nana Addo have blood in them when they are cut and do feel pain.
4. So his claim was a tit-for-tat effort you support Nana. Then if this his the case it means Kennedy was just lying about what he said assuming the Nana issue was a lie.
5. But till today Kennedy is unable to tell the country who accused Nana Addo of the butchering crime of his former wife.
But the Nana accussation has persisted in the community where he lived for many years and it is common knowledge that keeps surfacing in the rumor mill possibly by any one from his former wife's side.
The point is why blame the happening on a sitting president and attack his mother and brother or are all totally unrelated to any of the death of Nana Addo's wife accussation.
6. This was indirectly the question Afia Schwarzeneggar was asking whether it was right for Kennedy Agyepong to ask thst very question that no one dared to ask Kennedy Agyepong who is a parliamentarian and by his position should have known better not to have said what he said especially when he knew in his heart that he was flatly lying.
