Mr. Ignorant, within the academia, it doesn't matter how many people you talk to. It is about the name, location, and the relevance. Even if he made the presentation to the children of Harvard students who weren't enrolled in a university program, it was still a Harvard presentation. Have you ever been invited to present anything anywhere?

But your demonstration of stupidity, like the joy foolish guy and his colleagues. Whether 2 or 1000s, he was invited by a group at Harvard to present, and it takes only a foolish, ignorant idiot to say it meant nothing because he spoke to folks of about 30 people. My line of work requires me to talk, and I have been to programs where I spoke to just about 5 people, and over 3000 at times. In all situations, I walk out of the podium feeling accomplished because it still goes on my resume as having completed yet another scholarly presentation.
