  Once again a veteran,I mean veteran actor as the word veteran connotes has passed on-Solomon Sampa is that man.One whose stage performance given any role is without blemish from the viewers eye.The days when artistry,brilliance & excellence was on display when actors like the late Sampa were on stage.But my problem is how do we celebrate them even when they are no more?It takes just a minute & some few dotted lines in a newspaper & on air to announce their life & works & it ends.But we have so soon forgotten that these were the people who promoted our rich culture & traditions to the outside world.Is this how we pay them for their services?If it had been a foreign actor,I believe most tv & radio stations won't spare any effort eulogizing such people with pride.But when our VERY OWN dies it is as thou a fly just vanished.No wonder today,we seem to have no culture of our own.If others won't honour our heroes then we must do it ourselves.I call upon the living veterans of Theatre arts to rise and honour the heroes of the 'STAGE' with a performance to honour Giants like the Late Sampa,Evans hunter,The late headmaster of "ABAFOON"Secondary school,etc.Our heroes must not be forgotten.The Ministry of Culture must act now.To all the departed heroes of the Stage we say REST IN PEACE.
