The writer of the story could have helped the reader to no more about the festival. What it embodies, the history of kenkey, what the celebrants seek to achieve, and the likes.

Kenkey is the best staple food in Ghanaian culture, besides Rice, Yam, Plantain and Cocoyam. It is less disgusting to consume than Fufu. You are less likely to contract diarrhea from kenkey and fish than fufu and all sorts of fish and meat soup. With multiple people eating fufu and soup, dipping your hands in the soup and into your mouth spreads disease even faster.
Fufu (pounded or beaten to death yam, plantain etc) is extremely disgusting.

I know a lot of celebrities did show up at this event and eat Kenkey. But looking at the pictures I saw a lot of bottles and plastic bags on the floor and I don't know if my eyes are deceiving me. But my concern is how could we be clean as a nation with trash in every gathering. Why don't the organizers take programs like this and also educate people. All these bags will end up at the shore and kill all the fish we have.Shame on them and their so call Minster.
